Birds flying away out of the lush green paddocks, the warmth of the sun, the fresh clean air. Feel your soul swell with joy as you take some time out and gift yourself some time to take it all in. Be at peace your own thoughts while riding through to Rosnay Organic. Enjoy the wine and food tasting at the picnic table over...looking the rich fertile countryside with views of the snow on Mt Conobolas. The fat sheep grazing on the lush green grass up to their tummys. In this area are all organic farms so they are healthy and wholesome. The wine fills your palate with smooth and rich tastes and then the olives so big and juicy and rich in flavour. Young smooth olive oils that light up your senses. Then the highlight of the tasting chocolate covered figs OMG!!! They were out of this world!!! What a moment in life. Back on the bike and what an amazing freedom to ride, step into a day where your worries are left behind. Enjoy the moment with a friend or loved one taking in the rolling hills. What a way to reconnect with yourself, friends and this beautiful country. Russell our host picks up a picnic lunch on the way to Wallington Wines. The day was the first it had been sunny in weeks and what a moment, what a gift. Picture this we arrived at Wallingtons to see Baldy Hill where Ben Hall and his men watched out for the stage coach to pass by so they could hold it up wow talk about history. The winery is a straw bale construction so it has amazing temperature control all year round and has a great area out the front where grape vines grow over the canopy in the spring and summer to shade in the picnic tables. Bread, olives, salad, cheese and sliced meats delicious and we enjoyed having them with the vines all around us and the rolling hills in the distance beautiful, picturesque! We also enjoyed wine tasting over lunch with Russell our exuberant host. Russell spoke to us about his journey to where he is now and we were amazed and in awe of him and his passion for riding and the local places that he is in partnership with to conduct his tours. Russell is a passionate, humble, funny and inspiring gentleman. Vicky and I came away from lunch with a feeling of gratitude for how lucky we are. One of the moments in life that truly impact your life. On our ride back to Cowra we spotted flocks of birds flying across the pure blue sky, the galahs and cockatoos almost a loud as the bike. The crispness of the air as the sun began to lower in the sky signalled the day closing out. We experienced our region through fresh eyes today. It was an amazing day really unforgettable! Smiles were bigger than the helmets we wore An unforgettable life experience
