09.01.2022 From Tom: It’s been theorized for a while that the common ancestor of both chimps and humans was an upright walker dubbed Ardipithecus, around 5-7 million year...s ago. These new findings push the upright plantigrade posture back by a factor of 2, again reinforcing the idea that there may have been many different types of humans over the last few million years, of which we sapiens are the sole survivors. The fossil record is so skimpy that we theorize on very shaky ground. I feel well and healthy, but can not necessarily guarantee that I am not a carrier. I can guarantee freshly washed towels and disinfection of my hands, arms, and surfaces. I am waiting for a delivery of high quality masks for myself, but don’t expect them to arrive before the end of the month.
