25.01.2022 Wow, what a crazy year 2020 has been! Overall it was an amazing, unforgettable year, with so much that went on! It was also our 20th birthday for the studio Thanks Everyone, for making "WONDERLAND such a wonderful performing experience for everyone involved.... From Myself, Krystal, Kathy, Charlee, Semi, Rhianne, Yasmin, Elise, Vicki, and the rest of Centre Stage, we want to say a massive thank you to our students, families and friends who supported us through the year.... 20.01.2022 SUMMER SCHOOL 2021 offers 5 consecutive days of comprehensive training in performing arts and musical theatre. Classes are conducted by guest teachers from MELBOURNE and staff of CENTRE STAGE DANCE STUDIOS. Students will take classes in contemporary, commercial jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, acrobatics, heels, aerial silks and more. Students will also participate in a dance photo shoot with Sionainne Costello from TRAPPED PHOTOGRAPHY, and take home a solo dance sh...ot each. 20.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS Joslyn! Long-time Centre Stage Dance student, Joslyn, has successfully auditioned for Patrick School of the Arts, Full-time Foundation Musical Theatre, for 2021. I am so very proud of the performer Joslyn has become, after training so hard for so many years, and I look forward to seeing more of this hard work develop her into an even more amazing dancer and singer. Good luck next year, all at Centre Stage will miss you xx Joslyn's last concert with us will be "Wonderland" next weekend.

12.01.2022 #TipTuesday Want more bounce in your step? Here are our #toptips to a flying Grand jeté! 1. Use your plie! Without rolling your foot ensure you are taking off... and landing with a good plie. 2. Work on flexibility! Flexibility in the hip flexor, the hamstrings, and the inner thigh will give you more range of motion and allow you to get more extension in the air. 3. Strengthen your core, glutes and hamstrings! Strengthening the backs of your legs is vital to being able to lift your back leg up in your jete which is actually where many dancers struggle. Once in the air, having a strong core will help hold you in one piece and give you the feeling and look of floating. Happy jeté-ing! See more

Book your attendance at: [email protected]... 2nd GUEST TEACHER announced.....Dave Evangelio As a professional dancer in the Philippines, Dave (aka Gigi Era) choreographed and danced for the hit tv show, X-Factor Philippines, and has also worked in Hong Kong and Dubai as a dancer and Make-Up Artist for local celebrities. Now living and working in Melbourne, Dave(Gigi) has taught workshops and dance classes regularly, whilst working as Make-Up Artist for the Real Housewives of Melbourne tv show and other jobs in the Australian Film industry. Dave also has his own successful line of wigs. Dave will be teaching Commercial Jazz and Heels classes at our Summer School.

06.01.2022 A massive CONGRATULATIONS to Centre Stage Dance Studios student, Thalia Thomas, who has auditioned successfully and been accepted into The Academy, at Patrick School of the Arts (Melbourne). Thalia will commence Year 10 next year with PSA and we wish her the best of luck on her journey towards her dream of performing on stage one day xx It has been a pleasure to watch Thalia grow as a performer over the last 10 years and we are all very excited for this opportunity for her.
