The Department of Social Services is seeking your views on the purpose and key attributes of the National Memorial for Victims and Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse (National Memorial) via a national survey.... Your responses will inform the scope of a national competition to be held in early 2021 to determine the National Memorial design. The survey has been extended until 11:59pm AEDT Monday 30 November 2020. 20.01.2022 In conjunction with the 16 Days WA Stop Violence Against Women, The Women’s Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services are organising a Silent March on Friday, 27 November 2020 to honour all those who have lost their lives as a result of domestic and family violence. Centrecare will have a stall during the event from 10am onwards and the Silent March will start at 12noon. Event is held at the Supreme Court Gardens.

11.01.2022 Congratulations Faith Our congratulations to Faith on her 10 years of service with Centrecare. Faith first joined Centrecare in the Goldfields in 2010 as a Child Contact Supervisor and in October 2012 transferred into a new role as an Educator in the Kalgoorlie Branch. ... Faith has extensive experience in providing a range of training workshops, with parents and with children and she is well known in Kalgoorlie for her work in schools and local agencies such as the YMCA and Goldfields Rehabilitation Service. In December 2019, having completed a tertiary qualification in Counselling, Faith became a counsellor with a special interest in children and families. She is highly respected by her colleagues given her generous spirit, extensive experience and significant knowledge of Centrecare policies and practices. Faith’s commitment and desire to develop her professional skills is self-evident from the various Centrecare roles she has undertaken over the years. She is known for her professionalism and willingness to assist others in a manner that goes well beyond her stated duties. She exemplifies Centrecare values and we are very fortunate to have had her with us for so many years. Faith's services were recognised with a recent presentation in Kalgoorlie attended by Centrecare Director - Adj. Prof. Tony Pietropiccolo AM, General Manager - Leanne Strommen and senior management. 07.01.2022 Yarning Quiet Ways Workshop (Centrecare Esperance) Teaching kids to have strong, safe and healthy relationships The Footprints to Stronger Families program is facilitating a Yarning Quiet Ways workshop on the 19th November 2020 at the ENAC premises in Woods Street.... Yarning Quiet Ways is an interactive workshop, advising us how to teach kids to have strong, safe and healthy relationships. It is presented by Aboriginal Health Promotion Workers from the Public Health Unit of WA Country Health Service Goldfields Population Health, Department of Health. The Department of Health Yarning Quiet Ways and Talk Soon. Talk Often books will be provided to all participants and a catered lunch will be provided. There is no cost to participants attending the workshop.
