23.01.2022 The NSW Office of Responsible Gambling publicly announced the successful 2019 Responsible Gambling Grants - Congratulations to Dr Megan Whitty and Dr Marisa Paterson on getting the ANU Gambling Support study funded! Great to have important partners on board - Anglicare NSW/ACT and Relationships Australia ACT!!! This project aims to understand the experiences of partners and family members who support a loved one experiencing gambling harm in the ACT and NSW. Further to this, we want to understand how to provide adequate support in the ACT/NSW community for these people.

17.01.2022 The ANU Centre for Gambling Research is very proud to release these powerful animations in our 'You're not alone' series. As the Melbourne cup stops the nation for a day, think of the many people and families whose lives are impacted on a daily basis by gambling in Australia. These animations (1/3) are part of our Gambling Support Study, where we have used the real voices and experiences of women we have interviewed to understand how gambling impacts partners and family members of gamblers. Creating these animations was an exercise in research translation, as well as reducing stigma and promoting service use for those experiancing harm from gambling. The project was funded by the 2019 NSW Responsible Gambling Grants Program. If you are experiencing gambling harm - call 1800 858 858 for support.
