25.01.2022 It starts with a choice and a commitment to follow through!

25.01.2022 Forever - is composed of Nows . . (Emily Dickinson)

25.01.2022 We dont have to live our lives forever defined by the damaging things that have happened to us. We are unique. We are irreplaceable. What lies within us can never be truly colonized, contorted, or taken away. The light never goes out. Eleanor Longden

24.01.2022 How do you be and practice being your true self? What ways do you find useful and healthy to remain authentic? If we are stripped off our clothes and all our worldly goods, we are all but the same. If we are stripped off our insecurities, we can just be comfortable in our own skin. This acknowledgment comes with courage, self acceptance and integrity. Let us celebrate our true selves. The acting can stop now and feel the genuine relief authenticity brings. Oscar Wilde says it beautifully: Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.

23.01.2022 Choosing to be...

22.01.2022 Thank you packs a punch when matched with sincerity, kindness and honesty. Let us not just say the words but also share why they deserve it. Dig deep. Watch how you transform positively when the receiver of your appreciation do exactly the same

20.01.2022 Would you know how to administer CPR? Remembering the rhythm of Beegees song (and other song suggestions included in the article) may be useful in CPR after all. http://spr.ly/6181EPQ4L

15.01.2022 Our brains cannot decipher between what is real and what is imagined; both become its reality. It is when we begin to be conscious of our thoughts that matters. We can then take control - being aware of what we imagine that we are afraid of, anxious of, sad of, regretful of...memories from traumatic past or imagined already-doomed futures versus reliving and focusing on all the good things, happy times, and all the more that we can be open to. We can slowly begin to choose w...hat we think of. And when our minds run away with its own stories, we can take hold of that directors chair, sit on it and either say cut! or lets roll and do that again. We can be in charge. We ARE in charge! Reliving memories has an exponential effect. So we might as well choose what we (re)live in. So the next time a thought comes into your mind, you dont have to grip onto it too much. Instead, loosen the grip and acknowledge these are just thoughts and what you do with them is yours to make. No need to blame the world, your partner, your brother, or sister, or mom or dad, what they did or didnt do. Take control. Choose happy. Think well, feel well, be well. 12.01.2022 If one can accept that there is no failure but just feedback (on how to do it better next time), then one can be the best learner there can be!!! Imagine how many gurus out there, keen to teach us, to become even better versions of ourselves!!!

09.01.2022 Live as if there is no tomorrow and we only have today. Say what you want say and mean it. Do what you want to do by committing to it. Love as if your heart is bursting. The more you give of love without expecting anything in return, the more you will have. . . . #grateful #livinginthebestplaceonearth... #unconditionallove #burstingwithlove See more

09.01.2022 Your perception of other people....your belief makes it all already true . Let us perceive positively!!!

09.01.2022 Give them flowers while they can see, smell, and feel

08.01.2022 The Centre for Positive Well-being is excited to welcome and promote volunteering work with the Mission of the Seafarers, a not-for-profit organisation recently established in Darwin for seafarers in Darwin. Please share this far and wide with your friends and colleagues. Mission to Seafarers Darwin (MTS) is about advocating for and helping many commercial seafarers. About 1800 commercial ships and 70 cruise liners a year come from the Philippines, China, Indonesia and all o...ver the world. They have many needs when coming into a Port, and MTS is here to facilitate normality for the seafarer. Providing a place for them to come and feel safe, welcome and relaxed. Their needs include contacting family, leaving the Port and renewing supplies. We are providing counselling, transport, clothing, books, magazines and games to take onboard, to stave off boredom and loneliness. Mts aims to Care for Seafarers around the world. CARING FOR SEAFARERS AROUND THE WORLD New Beginnings for Mission to Seafarers Darwin Where does everything come from? The car, furniture, trinkets. Imports and exports keep the country alive and growing. But who is the human face behind all this? Where do they come from and what happens to them? They are the commercial seafarers that leave home and family to go to sea and face danger, perils and loneliness, for months on end. Life on the ocean can be very tough, dangers from piracy, weather and Illness. There is also very little financial gain. They are the true heroes of the sea! MTS Darwin has been operating for a few months now and we are on the way to incorporation as a not for profit charity. Doing ship visits and rejuvenating the current Port facility. We are being sponsored by Living Waters Op shop, Humpty do and Anglicare Op shop. We are also currently taking volunteers at the Port Facility. If you would like to help get a seafarer from the Port for a day, please contact me. Julie Toomey Chaplain Mission to Seafarers mob 0428803935

07.01.2022 This is one of the most special gifts from my family - a jar of love (messages). My family and I started this trend of filling up a jar and filling it up with love messages to the birthday celebrant in the family. The messages remind us all what we love about the person. The giver is as touched as the recipient. So simple and yet so powerful as the gift of love written on paper motivates and inspires. Let us give all the love we can give, generously and unreservedly (and without expecting anything in return). Let us let our loved ones know now, whilst we can. #friendsforlife #loveforlife #jaroflove

05.01.2022 Imagine if we observed this at every entrance! (Sign courtesy of the Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park and Earthbound Cafe).

04.01.2022 A celebration of life and how we must continue to do so, even if some of our loved ones are no longer physically present. Beautiful things and feelings certainly are not limited by space and time. Thank you for sharing, Melanie

04.01.2022 It is only with feedback (and willingness to be wrong and learn from it) that we can truly grow and be a better version of ourselves. Join us in learning about the steps of how in our workshop on the 9th and/or the 16th of this month.
