22.01.2022 Centre Stage Dance Company presents 'THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT 2020" at the MECC on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 December 2020. The show starts at 5.30pm and is suitable for all ages. We have all new group routines featured with dancers aged 3 - 18 years. Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Boys Hip Hop, Contemporary, Footwork and Showgirls are the styles featured. Come along, sit back, relax and enjoy the Show! Tickets are limited.......call the MECC Box Office or visit them to purchase tickets. Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday 30 November at lunchtime. Get in quick!

20.01.2022 Introducing our New Teacher for 2020 - Kaitlyn!! Kaitlyn has been receiving extensive dance and singing training since four years of age. In 2016 she successfully obtained her R.A.D Vocational Classical Ballet Advanced 2 certificate and also her Members Graduate Diploma of the Society for Education in Dance and Theatre Arts for the jazz and tap syllabus. ... In that same year she also travelled to the USA and performed at DisneyLand, California Adventure Land, Universal Studios and at Hollywood Boulevard. She is currently in her third and final year of a Bachelor of Musical Theatre at the Con in Mackay and just recently travelled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and performed Chess the Musical in a collaboration with Bentley Music Academy.

20.01.2022 Welcome to our NEW BALLET TEACHER!!!!! Shannon will be teaching our Grade 4, Grade 6, Sub Elementary and Intermediate Ballet classes on a Thursday afternoon!!! Shannon Smith graduated from the Australian Ballet School in 1998, and went on to enjoy a very successful International Ballet Career. He danced Principal roles with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and Ballet British Columbia. His highlights were performing the roles of Peter Pan in 2004, and 2009, Don José in Carmen..., and the lead in the George Balanchine’ Allegro Brillante 2002, and 2006. Although highly acclaimed for his Classical technical ability, Shannon had fun and was very skilled at performing a whole range of dance styles on the Princess Cruise lines shows and contemporary companies. During his career Shannon was so grateful to have learnt from excellent Ballet teachers and Pilates instructors within the Ballet Companies so he joins us with a humble wealth of experience and applied knowledge. 14.01.2022 Do you have a little one at home that would love to DANCE......come along and join in the fun at Centre Stage Dance Company!! We have classes for little dancers starting at 1.5 years. Our Dance Teachers are both dance trained and Childcare/Primary School Teacher trained. These classes fill quite quickly so please email [email protected] if you would like an Information Pack.

10.01.2022 Centre Stage Dance Company is owned and run by Mackay local Cassie Craig (nee Morris). The studio has been running for 17 years and is located at 138 Wood Street. We have three custom built studios and our classes run on Monday to Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings. We do not have classes on Friday afternoons or Saturday due to so many of our students participating in Sport and having family time!! The studio has a mixture of seriousness and fun to it!! It's impo...rtant for kids to be kids and love every minute of what they are doing, but it's also important to teach them the commitment of activities and how to work hard to achieve the best results that they possibly can!!
