22.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be was this year’s theme of NAIDOC Week. Centurion acknowledges and recognises that the First Nations people have lived, worked and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. Over the course of the week Centurion celebrated NAIDOC with a Welcome to Country at our Perth and Brisbane offices and ended the week with a barbeque showcasing Australia’s native ingredients. Throughout the week, each business area was joined by our Youth & Indigenous Aff...airs Program Coordinator who educated the staff on the importance of NAIDOC Week. Perth’s Welcome to Country was delivered by Robyn Collard, a Nyungar Elder from Whadjuk/Ballardong Country of the Perth region and Brisbane’s was delivered by Tommy Coghill, a Yuggera Elder from the Ipswich and West Moreton region. Both elders shared their traditions with the staff which included a sacred burning ceremony and the playing of the didgeridoo. A massive thank you to both Robyn and Tommy for imparting the knowledge of your cultures and involving the Centurion team in these wonderful ceremonies. #NAIDOCweek #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOC

Family Day provides employees the opportunity to show their families where they work and what they do on a day-to-day basis, and not to mention have some fun. A huge thank you to all who visited and took part in the incredible day. On behalf of Centurion we would like to thank both returning and new vendors for providing all the fun and food! Lastly, a special thank you to our Family Day ...committee for taking the time each week to meet and plan this amazing event. Particularly in the lead up to the day, spending hours on end ensuring everything was organised and set up - without you Family Day would not occur. Bring on Family Day 2021!
