17.01.2022 Sneaky peek at the sculptures that will be installed on the new Tiki Philosophers Trail next week.

15.01.2022 Introducing the Tiki Philosophers Trail On the 30th and 31st of October 25 new sculptures were installed in Ceramic Break Sculpture Park. The Tiki Philosophers Trail opening brought to conclusion 2 months of tireless work by Kerry Cannon, Yvonne and Phil Leddingham, Sharon Gilmore, artist Marilynne Barnes, a big group of year 8-11 Warialda High School art students and Barbara Dowsey, the park manager. The sculptures were created using ciment fondue and chicken wire and w...ere painted on Thursday the 30th by the Warialda students in Tiki style! Each sculpture was inspired by a unique Philosopher’s quote that the students interpreted in their sculptures. Bits of smashed pottery were also incorporated into the design, keeping with the theme of the park. The cement medium was something new for all involved, but the results are amazing!! The Warialda Rotary was on hand for a sausage sizzle for the hungry artists. It was a fun and productive day in the Ceramic Break studio. We warmly invite visitors to come and view the Tiki Philosophers Trail and to break their pottery at the end of The Trail. Many thanks to the Warialda High School for coordinating the project through these covid-19 times. Ceramic Break Sculpture Park is open Thursday-Sunday 10-5pm and by appointment. See more
