25.01.2022 Last night Diya of year 9, participated in the annual Rotarian Clift Public Speaking Competition at the Novotel in Parramatta. Students had to present a 4 minute speech on the topic: 'In your hands' and were then given an unseen topic ('March to your own beat') and 3 minutes to prepare a 1 minute impromptu speech. She was up against some worthy competition including, The Kings School, OLMC and Parramatta Marist but she presented admirably, speaking with confidence and expression that received a personal mention from Rotarian Madame President Paula Jesse. 25.01.2022 Six year9 students who have widely shown their interests and passion for social justice, were chosen to attend The Social Justice Statement Launch 2020/21 which focused on the important issues of Mental Health in Australia. 22.01.2022 Congratulations to Malika and Thuy from year 11 for successfully gaining a place in the 2021 National Youth Science Forum. The experience draws approximately 300 students from around Australia to some of the nation’s top universities and each scholarship is worth over $3500. Although their program may look a little different next year, I am sure their experience will be invaluable! Well done girls!

Brooke, Chanel and Gemma, chose Carlo Acutis - a young boy who was recently Beatified - presented his journey to sainthood in a 1 minute video. 12.01.2022 Cerdon College would like to share our support to ex-student Clarissa Spata for her upcoming live concert production. Clarissa will be performing a mix of popular opera, music theatre and well loved classic songs, on Thursday the 20th of August from 8:30-9:30pm. Clarissa first started Cerdon Collge in 1993 and as her education progressed she was greatly inspired by our music teachers, especially Ms Sue Elliot and Mrs Hayden who always offered Clarissa opportunities to im...prove and extend her singing skills. Ms Elliot and Mrs Hayden guided Clarissa throughout her years at Cerdon and worked tirelessly to help sharpen her talent, from musical theatre productions where Clarissa was placed in lead singing roles, to participating in the Cerdon College Vocal Group.
