With gorgeous blooms from @edward_and.i to create beautiful pops of colour to set their rustic theme! ... When the gorgeous bride entered there were huge smiles (and many happy tears) all around! The groom couldn’t keep his eyes off his stunning bride to be! The vibes of this ceremony were genuine love and happiness for this couple that have been together for 10 years!! And that is exactly how I have felt since becoming a celebrant! 14.01.2022 K I R S T Y S A N I O Elopements really are something special. Where two soulmates are able to be completely absorbed in one another, taking time to just be completely in the moment. One of my favourite moments in this gorgeous elopement was Kirsty and Sanio’s personalised vows, both reading genuine words from the heart, with Kirsty reading Sanio a promise in Croatian at the end of her vows which she had been practicing. As a couple you can choose to acknowledge people that could not be present and even those that have say passed away. Something that I like to mention to my couples is, once you are announced and you walk down the aisle in celebration, you need to choose a special place to walk to after you are announced because that is where you will get lots of celebratory photos with your loved ones. So.. just keep walking and you may even get some cool shots like this along the way!

04.01.2022 A little late with my goodbye 2020, hello 2021 posts but I have been lucky enough to have lots of friends and family visit from interstate that we haven’t been able to see all year! So, lots of little play dates with new babies that have been born through covid as well as seeing siblings, aunties, uncles and grandparents that we haven’t been able to see regularly or at all. So, very busy socialising and catching up on the crazy year we have all had. Here’s to saying goodbye ...(in a way) to one thing in particular and that is restrictions at weddings in QLD as a lot of regulations have been lifted and you can pretty much have a ‘normal’ wedding now which is great! Guest numbers at weddings is currently 200 in a venue with social distancing, you can all now dance and most importantly, you can share a cake So, all is well in the world of weddings in QLD! So let’s cross our fingers and our toes and hope that we can all stay healthy and continue to keep numbers low or even better, at zero so we can party all year celebrating all of the wedding that should have been in 2020 as well as all the newly engaged couples that are starting to plan their special day!! I met up with the loveliest couple today and it was so nice to just hear them tell me how they found each other and that after one conversation they just knew. They became inseparable even though they lived hours away from each other, the distance not even being a challenge. I loved listening to the couple as the words of support were so genuine as they told me about their hard pasts.
