25.01.2022 For those couples wishing to tie the knot, it does concern me when I get a message asking me and another 20 plus Celebrant’s to give them a price In one email. This is the most important day of your life and choosing a Celebrant that you can communicate with and feel comfortable with should be one of the priorities to ensure your day is successful. Unless you Have spoken with or met your Celebrant before making a decision based on price, how will you know what they have to offer? As a professional Celebrant I feel uncomfortable giving a price when there has been no interaction between myself and my would be clients. This is really a very important part of your celebration. Do give your Celebrant a call and you will know immediately if they are the Celebrant of choice.

25.01.2022 Seems like the weather is going to hold out for the wedding on Saturday. Although temps not too high the sun will be shining on the beautiful couple as they take their vows and become husband and wife.

I have conducted weddings, namings, memorials of varied sizes and make every effort for the small ones to still have the same feel as the large ones. Don’t be disappointed

24.01.2022 Thank you from the family of a Funeral Ceremony that I had the privilege to be the Celebrant. The eulogy you gave, and the overall service that day was wonderful. I know it cannot always be the easiest of jobs that you have, but know that my father and I, as well as the rest of the family, do appreciate all the effort you went to. With the little information you had been given, you were able to capture exactly how Marie lived - as evidenced by how smoothly it flowed alon...gside the other tributes. Thank you again for all your time and effort, and for handling such a tender issue with as much care and compassion as you did. I hope the rest of the year sees you well. So comforting to know that one can be of benefit in difficult times.

22.01.2022 Today I visited a family who had lost a wife and a mother unexpectedly and way too soon. They loved and respected her as a devoted wife and mother. Very sad for all but a reminder that life is fragile. Appreciate what you have everyone. Treat your loved ones with love and respect and have no regret. I can only hope that the memorial ceremony that I will be conducting will ease their pain for a while.

20.01.2022 Another very touching Funeral for a family who sadly lost their wife and mother. They were so humble and gentle and it was a privilege to offer them a little bit of comfort in celebrating their loved one's life, despite their grief. That's what it is all about making their loved one's departure as beautiful and caring as possible.

18.01.2022 COVID-19 has had a huge impact on the manner in which weddings and celebrations are taking place and maybe this is not such a bad thing as it takes the angst out of whom to invite and maybe who could get upset if not invited. Huge pressures put on the couple especially when the budget does not allow for everyone to attend. So in a way it probably has helped many couples to make their lists without feeling the pressure of excluding anyone, now you have an excuse. Blame it on COVID-19 restrictions. Jokes aside though, it has cost many couples money that they did not anticipate to reschedule their wedding day, cancel their honeymoon and more. So not all good unfortunately, and my heart goes out to those who have been in the thick of it.

17.01.2022 Had the privilege to marry two lovely young people over the weekend. They had a super wedding with all the bells and whistles and it was a pleasure sharing in their day albeit only 18 years of age each of them I do hope that I imparted the importance of building a strong foundation and remembering the vows and their declarations made on the day. It is one of the youngest couples that I have married and they will have many years of growing and maturing but I wish them all the very best for their future.

16.01.2022 It is with sadness that I have heard of the passing of Daphne Knapp. A very independent and inspiring lady who had a wonderful eye for photography. Daphne was well into her 80's and when I did see her out and about, I would say, "Daphne you should not go out alone" This did not deter her as she had no fear. She drove around Mandurah and still held her licence at 89 years of age. Her passing will be missed by all her knew her and my sympathies go out to her family and friends. RIP Daphne You will be missed.

15.01.2022 A fabulous weekend of good weather and sunshine. Happy couples were able to celebrate their most important day in sunshine. What a great way to start your journey in your life as Mr & Mrs. One of the things I say to the couple on their wedding day is to remember their vows and commitment to each other made on their wedding day when things get tough. This will encourage and uplift them and get them back on track as they remember their words spoken in love and anticipation.

15.01.2022 A beautiful tribute last week to a gentleman Bob who was very much a part of the Mandurah Community. A colourful character who will be sorely missed. I feel privileged that I could officiate at his Memorial.

12.01.2022 Another beautiful day to Celebrate the joining together of two people in Marriage. Always a joy to be a part of this special time in one's life. Weather is good, bit chilly but sun is shining and what better way to share in the love of two people as they journey together in life.

10.01.2022 Wonderful weather and time to start planning your ceremony now that the restrictions are lifted. It has been a disappointing time for couples not being able to hold their wedding with their guests. So strike while the iron is hot. A few time slots still remaining for this year

09.01.2022 Today I was very privileged to be a part of a funeral ceremony for a man who fought so long and hard to overcome his illness. Given the cOvid-19 situation it was a small gathering with close family. It was very difficult not being able to comfort the family keeping the social distancing in place. Hopefully the words spoken will help soften the blow but nothing like being able to put your arms around the persons grieving to offer some comfort. Hope this will all be over very soon and we can get back to normality.
