24.01.2022 Have you checked your subfloor since all the rain we have had? This place we inspected had water pooling and shows signs that drainage is a problem..The block a...nd brickwork is stained, timber components are decaying. These conditions will affect the foundations if not sorted out and damp dark areas are ideal for termites as they are attracted to moisture. We know a lot of people don’t like checking the subfloor because of spiders etc..So get a professional to check it. 19.01.2022 Today we come across this termite barrier system..It is a chemical reticulation system...The system was renewed just last month but!!!!!Houston we have a problem..Nearly Two thirds of the house, the pipe work is visible and not in the ground.. So basically it is not doing the job of protecting this home from termites..The pipes should be installed in a trench in the ground just below the top of the footings and should be covered by soil. When this is done a termicide chemica...l is pumped through the pipe work which in turn soaks the soil. The chemical binds to the soil giving the house a full uninterrupted perimeter protection. Unfortunately this is not the case here..The people paid a lot of money for this system to be renewed and they haven’t got what they paid for.. Is your termite barrier installed correctly?
