19.01.2022 Under Victorian COVID-19 Stage 4 Stay at Home restrictions, CERT (The Centre for Excellence in Rail Training) is deemed part of a permitted industry (Transport Support Services Rail Transport (passenger and freight) including rail yards). CERT will continue to provide Category 3 medicals and assessments for Train Track Safety Awareness (TLIF2080 - Safely access the rail corridor) in the Victorian Training facilities, in accordance with all Government guidelines. A prescribed COVID Safe Plan, including strict protocols for cleaning, face masks, social distancing etc. is in place to keep you safe and on-track. Bookings can be made online. To observe the occasion CERT Queenslands Quality and Operations teams held a morning tea to check in with the team during the COVID-19 crisis. Staff, both on-site and working from home participated with morning tea treats favouring those orange in colour or beginning with the letters R, U, O and K. The staff enjoyed Kit-Kats, Oreos and Cheezels with contraband lamingtons and eclairs for good measure! They shared tips ...on working from home, stories about life with the current restrictions in place, worrying about social distancing and all agreed coughing for any reason has become taboo.
