05.01.2022 To Our Valued Patrons, It is with a heavy heart yet clarity of mind, that we announce today, our retirement from the traditional restaurant business as of next Tuesday the 26 May. Cesare’s No Name Family Restaurant will no longer be as we know it. Current economic and social circumstances following the coronavirus situation are factors that have contributed to this heavy decision, however, as many of our loyal and genuine customers are aware, Ornella has been thinking of the ...idea of retirement for some time now and the Covid19 crisis has allowed us the opportunity to regroup as a family and a business and put things into perspective. Over the many years, we have worked with different staff and we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you, to all past and present, in particular we would like to thank Ornella’s kitchen staff and assistance, particularly those whom have been with us for some time. We would like to thank our loyal patrons that have continued to demonstrate their support and appreciation of the service and food we have provided over the years. Many of you we have known pre-Leichhardt and many of you we have come to know here, at Leichhardt. Thank you. Your consistent support and warm conversations always managed to brighten up what at times were long and tiring days. We wish you and your families the very best. In a twist of fate, the Covid19 experience has allowed us the opportunity to continue to share some of Ornella’s beautiful cooking via an alternate platform of ‘readymade meals’ for home dining and catering and we are excited and pleased to clarify that we will be continuing this service in due time. We are so overwhelmed by all your well wishes & support not only yesterday, but over the many decades that we have been feeding you & your families! Ornella has read all of the messages & is so humbled and moved by your beautiful messages of support...tears were shed we won’t lie!! ... On another note, to clarify, we will be offering take away every night up until we turn the stove off for one final time at close of business on Tuesday 26 May. It breaks our hearts that we cannot open the restaurant and welcome you all at our table for a final meal with us, but please know we are so happy to see you all pop in for take away!
