25.01.2022 We need to get our local Cessnock Advertiser newspaper back operating.
25.01.2022 Congratulations to Lion David Chalker & Lions Lady Sandra on receiving his 50 year Lions Club membership Medal from the Australian Lions Foundation. He joins our only other 50year member, Lion Kevin Knipe, both of whom can recount many achievments of the Lions Club of Cessnock over time. The medal was presented during a viisit by our Lions District Governor Geoff Kilmurray and Zone Chair Lion Wilma Lilley. Cessnock President, Lion Ian Anderson, handed over a cheque to the DG for the zone project "Lions 4 Kids In Need" which assists needy families from our zone when they have children having to be in-patient at John Hunter Hospital.
23.01.2022 Cessnock Lions are proud to have contributed in our own small way towards this great project.

20.01.2022 New President of Cessnock Lions, Ian Anderson was installed into office by Lions District Governor Geoff Kilmurray at our club's 67th annual changeover. Lion Ian, a former Principal of Mount View High School, has been a Lions member for 16 years, and is passionate about Lions supporting our youth. He is also the District Coordinator for Leo Clubs. The changeover was also attended by Cessnock Mayor Bob Pynsent, who made a toast to the work of Lions Clubs in the community and worldwide.
