03.01.2022 Horseland Rockhampton is having a special on AMMO Allwormer during horse health week AMMO contains abamectin and morantel so it is effective against tapeworms, roundworms and bots. A single tube is sufficient to treat a horse up to 600kg If you're uncertain about how to rotate wormers, remember to check the ingredients label and make sure you use a rotation partner that has ingredients from a different class of wormer, not just a different brand name! ... AMMO Allwormer has a rotation partner called AMMO Rotational which contains oxfendazole so you can rest assured you've actually rotated your wormers

Tripart is great for helping to reduce the risk of tying up after exercise while L-Carnitine helps your horse to use stored fats for energy and is essential for normal heart function

03.01.2022 During these colder months our horses can be quite fussy about their water. The water source is now often frozen in the mornings which limits water access or it... is just too cold to drink the amount they need, resulting in dehydration and potentially impaction colics. Some tips to remember: - Horses will go and have a drink after eating. - Always provide access to fresh water as the average horse drinks up to 40 litres per day. - An additional bucket of water flavoured with apple juice or a spoonful of molasses for example is also a good way of encouraging them to drink a little more. Drink Up is an excellent water additive for those who are watching their sugar intake. - Offer warm water, up to 18 degrees Celsius is acceptable. At the hospital we simply add a large jug of hot water morning and night to each water bucket. - Studies have shown that horses tend to drink more if warm water is offered, especially if warm water is the main water source.
