19.01.2022 We are Family!!! (You're singing that tune now aren't you...you're welcome ) Family is not always blood, any tribe or community can forge bonds that are as strong as family. Or in some cases stronger. We have created a giant melting pot of a family here, and we LOVE that it includes many family groups within that. Kids need to be inspired to get off the devices and to learn how to move their bodies well. To know that it's ok to sometimes not be amazing at things but... that you can work hard and get better. Life is crazy for kids!! We for one are glad we did our growing up (if you consider us grown ups) before the bombardment of social media and the all to easy trap of comparing your life with someone else's highlight reel!! It's relentless. But getting kids up and about, moving their bodies, to build their confidence and resilience is priceless. 07.01.2022 The first step is always the hardest. Yes yes it is a cliche but it is so very true! But stay with us here.. there is a point! And sometimes the journey you're beginning can seem like the journey to the end of the earth, filled with dragons, demons and a whole raft of things to challenge you. So we sit and we ponder these things, and it all seems to hard so we stop. And we lament our lack of results or progress or whatever it is we were seeking! And nothing changes, ev...er. BUT! What if instead of thinking about the hard stuff to get there, we set our sights on that golden feeling at the end? You know what we mean...that feeling when you can rock out that old pair of skinny jeans or you confidently walk in to that high school reunion and feel AMAZING. Or how about the most basic thing of all is you feel great within your own skin, you feel good naked you don't even need the light off (I know you know what we mean!!) Now when you're in those moments, living your best life, crushing it and feeling amazing you don't even give a second thought to the hard grind that got you there. Suddenly the dragons and demons become cute little hobbits in your recall, and that seemingly insurmountable mountain was merely just a bump in the road to awesome!!
