25.01.2022 We support this declaration and call for all illegally placed sanctions to be lifted
25.01.2022 We continue to work tirelessly here in Australia to contribute to the people of Cuba through our work collecting funds and equipment to be freely disbursed to those who need it most in the pursuit of strengthening cross cultural relations between both Cuba and Australia. We wish to acknowledge the tireless work and support given by many people both here and in Cuba along with the various Cuban government departments that continue to assist us in educating us about the correct processes required to continue to carry on our work in Cuba. We also wish to acknowledge and thank the Cuban government for its recent ongoing programs that have been offered and shared amongst the people of Australia including educational and medical programs for our indigenous brothers.

22.01.2022 Our Mission The CFC Project exists to develop a long-term sustainable partnership between Australian and Cuban representatives stemming from cross cultural relations, with the direct aim of providing financial and material assistance to the people in Cuba, as identified by the CFC Board of Directors.

20.01.2022 This Week's BIG news We are excited to inform everyone that Jeremy Harry Harris, the Director of the CFC Project, has returned from travelling to Holguin Cuba where he met with various Project Officials and continued to work hard within the Project to achieve the plans currently in place for the next 2 years. Harry as he is affectionately known has recently spent 2 months (March 11th - May 10th 2019) in Cuba visiting numerous towns, cities and provinces in that time. ... On his travels, Harry spent time with many local musicians and artists that have benefited already from the support of the CFC Project in addition to providing "on the ground" support for various individuals, groups and NGO's currently operating within Cuba. The goal was to listen and learn to ensure that we as a Project are delivering the right resources and programs that will make an impact and assist where most needed. Harry's "hands on" approach allows us to gather real time information that is paramount to identifying the real needs in each area the CFC is focussed on. It then enables our Project leaders to develop self sustaining plans and programs that can be implemented with support by the Cuban Government and the CFC Board of Directors.
20.01.2022 Pics of donated equipment being loaded into sea containers - Final Destination is Cuba
18.01.2022 See the drums in this picture and the logo on the bags. Yep that's right... it's Containers for Cuba providing equipment to be used by local musicians in Holguin Cuba that do not have the funds to buy or the access to musical equipment. We exist to assist those who need a helping hand. Those who can should and we can so we DO! Thank you to all that support our continued efforts over the past 7 years :)
17.01.2022 An update about our people & the work we do in Cuba. All public events have been cancelled by the Cuban government until further notice. We will continue to provide as much support as possible to our team in Cuba and take proactive steps to ensure our team is protected from direct contact with the virus. At present less than 10 cases have been diagnosed in Cuba and all containment policies are being adhere to by all CFC team members. We are committed to working with the auth...orities during this crisis and assisting in any ways we can. Our director has plans in place to travel to Cuba in April and will continue with this plan unless advised directly by the Cuban government not to travel to Cuba. For now we reiterate the WHO (world health organization) message to be vigilant and hygiene conscious and practice self isolation if you have any symptoms at all. Thank you to our team, their families and our supporters world wide. It is in these times when we stand tallest to lift others in need to higher ground. See more
14.01.2022 It appears that the ANZ don’t want us as customers anymore as we deal with Cuba and that is a direct breach of their Sanctions policy. Apparently anything to do with Cuba including having an Australian Company with the word Cuba in it is enough to breach their policies and entitles them to close our bank accounts. Ah politics... the best way to enslave individuals, groups, races and nations.
14.01.2022 We have been speaking with our team on the ground in Holguin Cuba today and we are told they are all safe and following protocols as best as is possible with the lack of resources to hand atm. There is 1 case of Covid 19 in Holguin now according to our sources but this is yet to be confirmed by the official authorities. What we need now are funds to assist people in buying basic hygiene products like soap and hand sanitiser in addition to drinking water. Can you help by donating to our project? $5.00 goes a bloody long way in Cuba....
14.01.2022 It appears we might be the target of an investigation by the bank we use because apparently we may be in breach of its "Sanctions Policy". After spending hours going through the DFAT website and the various UN Sanctions and Australian Sanction list, plus the ASIO Consolidation List (for terrorist groups or organisations that fund terrorism), 1. We couldn't find any sanctions from Australia or the UN that are directly listing Cuba. 2. We couldn't find our name / organisatio...Continue reading
11.01.2022 This is why we do what we do!!
11.01.2022 This is why blockades and embargoes are disgraceful, unethical and should be considered illegal by all countries of the world. They hurt real people who don’t deserve to be impacted, especially when they have no control over the political landscape. Now to cap it off, most Australian banks are cozying up to the USA to protect their banking licenses which means there’s no way to send much needed funds to individuals or NGO’s in Cuba without risking the bank freezing your acco...unt and closing it... trust us on that one, it is truly happening No $ and minimal resources means good honest people go hungry or without basic hygiene products like soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc etc.. How did we allow it to go so wrong for so many?? #wearethebeaconofhope
09.01.2022 We are back!! After nearly 12 months of back and forth after our initial page was hacked and deleted, the new an improved FB page and website are both up and running! Check out www.containersforcuba.com and stay tuned for updates now we have control of our sites again :)
02.01.2022 The Cuban National Parliament endorsed the new Council of Ministers proposed by the President of the Republic Miguel Diaz-Canel. Former Minister for Tourism Manuel Marrero Cruz was approved as the Primer Minister of the Republic.
01.01.2022 Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba The impact of COVID19 can already be measured and will be assessed in the future by the striking numbers of people infected, the unacceptable numbers of deaths, the unquestionable damages to the world economy, production, trade, employment and personal income of millions of people. It is a crisis that goes well beyond the scope of health. The pandemic has emerged and spread amidst a scenario previously marked by overwhelmi...Continue reading
01.01.2022 We join with 187 countries all calling for the end of the embargo and blockade of Cuba by the USA. The Berlin Wall came down 30yrs ago so it shows things can change. USA it’s time to change your shameful ways
01.01.2022 WE BELIEVE THOSE WHO CAN, SHOULD! We believe we can and therefore we should. Yes there are many countries and causes in the world that need attention but we have chosen to focus on this Project because we have seen first hand the rich benefits received by the community when those who can do! There's nothing better than experiencing a blind child hearing an audio book of her favourite bed time story for the first time. It brings joy and hope to a small child living a chall...enging life. That's why we do it :) How Can I Help? I'm just one person! The sum of 1 multiplied by 1000 makes 1000! Just 1 person focused on doing good for the right reasons can make a difference! YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Simply donating $5.00 makes a massive difference when you consider that the average Cuban citizen makes $10-20 per month to live on. Simply donating that unused guitar or keyboard that you bought with the best intentions of being a rock star will be used 10,000 times over to help provide a living wage for a Cuban musician. Maybe your skill is in writing grant submissions for funding, or you're amazing at organising fund raisers, building go fund me pages or you're a wiz on social media etc etc. We need you're support and your action to help get all these things in place to reach our goal of $2 million in 2 years!
