25.01.2022 Cooper Fernance Farrier service, Professional, fully qualified farrier servicing Toowoomba to Ipswich. Ponies to heavy horses, anything from trimming to corrective shoeing, don't hesitate to call or message. Special thanks to Ray for filming and putting together this video.

23.01.2022 Hello World! Blair Aubrey Fernance was born via emergency intervention on the 1st of July, at 9:40am after a long and hard labour and delivery, weighing in at a tiny 2.695kg. She is an absolute blessing, and we could not be prouder of our beautiful little girl!

23.01.2022 When it’s raining too much to be shoeing horses. It’s best to be in the shed making some shoes. Just 2 quick videos of me making a 3/4 fullered shoe in this well needed (but still a bit annoying) rain. #farrier #farriersofinstagram #horseshoeing #horsesofinstagram #farrierslife #farrierlife #blacksmith #gatton #toowoomba #lockyervalley

20.01.2022 A little handmade concave afternoon shoeing. Gotta tell you this dry weather is making it harder and harder. Praying for rain and relief. #farrier #farriersofinstagram #farrierslife #horse #horseshoeing #UQgatton. Louise

19.01.2022 Here is a horse that I needed to forge some straight bar shoes for to help his heels after an injury to the heel bulbs. Would have liked to put on a heartbar but the frogs were a little thrushy, and I didn’t want to aggravate that. #farrierlife #farrier #farrierofinstagram #horseshoeing #horsesofinstagram #fernvale

19.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Hi everyone, with the ever changing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, I thought it best to update you on my current work plans. As farriery is considered ‘essential’ in regards to animal welfare, my work hours shall continue as per normal. However, I would greatly appreciate you considering the following changes to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved. ... Where possible: - Please pay via electronic bank transfer; cash will be accepted if this is not possible, however electronic transfer is preferred. - Avoid physical contact (ie. hand shakes). - Please follow the QLD Health Guidelines (link below) by following hand washing and sanitation procedures, social distancing where applicable, and cancelling appointments when unwell. - If you have travelled recently, please remain in self-isolation for 14 days and contact me to reschedule your appointments for a safe and suitable time. I truly understand the financial struggle that some clients will be under during this time, therefore, I would love to provide a $10 discount per trim or shoeing for individuals who have suffered a job loss, or significant loss of income. Please feel free to contact me regarding my work, services or discount eligibility. Stay safe, and look after each other! Cheers, Cooper. 14.01.2022 Just a short little video of a heartbar I had to make yesterday for a thoroughbred mare with pretty bad seedy toe on the lateral toe quarter. Hope you’re all having a great Tuesday.

12.01.2022 7am start with a beautiful 8 degree morning here. Fire is roaring and steel is cooking ready for the . #farrierlifestyle #farriersofinstagram #livingthedream #farrierlife

11.01.2022 My beautiful wife and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting a beautiful baby girl coming this winter. And who knows, I may have a future apprentice ahah. A bit far ahead of myself but a man can dream.

10.01.2022 Rugged, snugged and ready for a bed time story. #farrierlife #farriersofinstagram #livingthedream #horses #horsesofinstagram

10.01.2022 Nothing like a well behaved, good footed horse to start off my day.

09.01.2022 Horses feet aren’t always the prettiest or the cleanest looking. This girl has a lot of bruising in the sole and is getting a nice pair an handmade concave hinds. But that shouldn’t stop you from making them look the best you can with what you have. Always have pride in your work.

08.01.2022 This is what can happen from an simple abscess. This horse was only sore for about 3-4 days. But that was plenty of time for the infection to burrow it’s way under the entire side of this hoof and under the frog. Nasty business. Stay safe and happy everyone. Cheers.

07.01.2022 Let’s hope they are actually right for once and we get this rain that we so desperately need.

06.01.2022 This girls been through the works. Laminitis, and an eye ulcer in the last year. Feet have taken sometime but are finally looking (mostly) normal. Nothing better to me than helping horses be the best they can be.

05.01.2022 As a farrier you do some big horses and you do some small ones. I’ve always loved doing the big and the small. But today I did the smallest horse I’ve ever done. A 1 1/2 year old mini. The hooves was smaller then my thumb as you can see in the photo. Absolute adorable but she thinks she’s 10 foot tall ahah. If you know anyone looking for a farrier that does all horses from 18 hand shires to the height impaired minis send them my way. Have a good Friday everyone and enjoy the weekend.

04.01.2022 Hope everyone is staying safe with all of these fires around. Make sure you’re fire ready and have a fire plan organised just in case. Stay safe everyone.

02.01.2022 First time doing this horse, rescue case and had terrible feet (although I didn’t get before photos because I forgot). A massive improvement on what they were but still a ways to go. I love being able to make a difference to horses like this one. Wasn’t very comfortable before but was happy when she walked away.

01.01.2022 Gotta love what you do to do a good job. #farrier #farrierlife #farrierwork #farriersofinstagram @ Walloon, Queensland, Australia
