13.01.2022 The toll of dieting. I remember taking this video. It was 1 day after my first competition in 2019. I was incredibly disappointed, stressed, and worried about my belly fat. WTF?????? disclaimer - this does not refer to everyone who diets!!!! Based on my own experience... Dieting can take a huge mental toll. It’s so easy to become caught up in the success on the scales, that you become overly competitive, critical, obsessive, and persistent. Being kind to yourself is one of the hardest things to do when your trying to change yourself. So how can you diet without getting caught up in a negative mental cycle? A few things that help me (that I have implemented since I’m finished competing) are: body image positive affirmations. Look in the mirror and convince yourself that you love that stubborn belly fat or your stretch marks. Soon you’ll start to believe it! recognise and congratulate yourself on the body parts that you do like fix your WHY. Why do you want to loose weight? Is that a negative reason? (E.g. i hate my legs and stomach VS I want to loose weight everywhere so that I feel and move healthier) don’t use the scales as your only form of progress. Try using measurements, pictures, or performance as indicators of improvement only diet when the time is RIGHT. Don’t jump into a prep or 20kgs weight loss plan when your life is stressful or too busy. as always, my inbox is always open if you need support. 04.01.2022 CFIT UPDATE Can 2020 be over yet??? Cfit Personal Training is still offering coaching services. At this stage, personal training for up to 2 people from the same house hold in an open public space, such as the local park is available (as per Vic Gov. restrictions) ... In addition to this, CFit has online training services. This includes a fully personalised training program which matches YOU. Phone calls, messages, zoom calls etc. are all complementary.
