24.01.2022 Saturday 21 November marked the 100 year anniversary of the Bloody Sunday massacre in Dublin, Ireland. On this day in 1920, British forces opened fire on a crowd of Irish supporters at a Gaelic football match between Tipperary and Dublin at Croke Park, killing 14 civilians and wounding many others. Today, our Union remembers the 14 men, women and children who never returned home that Sunday, and stand in solidarity with our Irish brothers and sisters in commemorating this mo...urnful day. #B100dySunday

01.01.2022 Recently, the International Labour Organisation adopted a ground-breaking Convention, ILO C190, recognising the right of every worker across the world to a workplace free from violence and harassment. If ratified, the convention will place clear obligations on governments and employers to take steps to make this happen. Throughout our 16 Days of Activism, we will be asking you to sign and share our petition calling on the Federal Government to act on the convention, and recog...nise every worker’s right to be free from all forms of violence and harassment at work.
