25.01.2022 We are incredibly thrilled to announce Vermont superstar and former Port Adelaide forward Brett Eddy has signed with CGFC for 2020 and beyond! Eddy joins the Fields after a dominant season last year, awarded the 2019 Sir Gilbert Chandler Medal for the Eastern Football Netball League Premier Division best and fairest player. He has also won the EFNL leading goalkicker award for both of the past two seasons, booting 62 goals in 2019 and 74 in 2018 to lead Vermont to back-to-ba...ck EFNL premierships. Prior to his two-year stint in the EFNL, Eddy’s 53 goals in 2017 and 62 goals in 2016 for the Port Adelaide Magpies earned him back-to-back Ken Farmer Medals, the SANFL leading goalkicker award. We are thrilled to have Brett and his partner Natalia at the club and can’t wait to see him in the navy and two white hoops! #fields

18.01.2022 VALE - Ross Collins Caulfield Grammarians Football Club, along with the rest of the Caulfield Grammarians community, is saddened by the passing of one of our life members Ross Collins. Ross played 266 games for the Fields from 1968 to 1984. He was a dashing wingman, who could turn on the pace, and had a never give up attitude. He was also a true Fieldsman who would step up when needed. In 1982 he stood in for 1 game as Senior Coach (when Max Lyon was away for work) and delive...red one of only 4 victories that season. Ross was selected to hand out the #42 at the centenary jumper presentation. Unfortunately this event was postponed due to the pandemic. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the Collins’ family and friends.

12.01.2022 Neil Slonim and Rob Grigg to hand over to Will Kingwill. The expansion of women's football across Australia has been the biggest driver of change that our game and club has seen for some time. CGFC has become a richer, healthier, and better club with the inclusion of our CGFCW program. The success of our women's program is largely in part to the dedication of Neil Slonim and Robert Grigg. Neil and Griggy have advised me of their intention to step away from their roles and f...acilitate a smooth transition to the next generation of Leaders at CGFC. I am delighted to advise that Will Kingwill will be stepping in to oversee the women's football program at CGFC as Head of Women's Football, building on the amazing work done by Neil and Griggy over the last few years. Will's goal is to foster the continued growth of the women's football program, ensuring that CGFCW players get the most out of their experience playing at the club, both on and off the field. The appointment will also see Will sit on the CGFC Committee, as a permanent and specific representative for the women's program. Further support is also being sought from the playing group in this area. Will is a CGS alumni from the class of 2011, has played at CGFC for five years and is very excited to start working with the women's team. Will is quoted below; "It's been awesome getting to know some of the women's players over the last few years and I hope I can continue to develop really positive relationships with the playing and coaching group. I love the footy club and I feel like focusing on the women's program is the perfect opportunity for me to step away from playing and still help the club become a better place. I'm proud of the way the club has embraced women's footy and want to continue to grow the program and just do my bit to ensure that everyone who comes to the club has a good time." I want to thank Neil and Griggy for what they have done for this football club they are outstanding individuals who only sought to make our Club a better place you guys have done this. I know they will leave these roles with a huge amount of pride and satisfaction. As they said, it has been a privilege and a joy to be part of the CGFCW. We look forward to seeing both Neil and Griggy around in the future. Peter Small - CGFC President Picture(L-R) Neil Slonim, Guy Nelson, Rob Grigg

09.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CGFC PRESIDENT PETER SMALL: After 5 years of absolute fun, it is time for me to transition out of the role as President of CGFC. It has been a privilege to hold this honour as the Club has grown from strength to strength, based on hard work and a common goal ; to be the best we can be. There have been many highlights, but my lasting memory will be the many friends I have made, the wonderful young people we have welcomed in to our CGFC community and the real...isation of what this Club means to so many people. At the upcoming AGM in November, I will hand over the role to a great fieldsman Will Bowes, who I know will lead the Club with a passion and desire to continue to improve on what we do, and what we can become. Thank you to all our Partners, the Committee, our Coaches, the supporters and our players we would not be where we are without your efforts. This is your Club be proud of it! And a big thank you to my family who have been so supportive over this time, and to allow me the time to do what I felt was needed. 06.01.2022 On this day in 2019: On Saturday the 7th of September 2019, CGFC's return to Premier was secured with a thrilling one-point victory over Old Scotch. The see-sawing, nailbiting clash was one for the ages, but not only that, it was a magnificent reward for the work of so many wonderful Fielders in the past seven years. 06.01.2022 On behalf of the Caulfield Grammarians Football Club I’d like to wish you, your family and friends a Happy Christmas and holidays. It has been a challenging year for many of us but that we are able to stick together as our CGFC community and look out for each other is a special bond we have. As a club we are looking forward to 2021 and the opportunity to again play the game we love. VAFA Round 1 is currently scheduled to be Saturday 10th April. This will see our Men’s team ta...ke on Old Melburnians at Elsternwick, while our Women’s side will host SKOBS at Glenhuntly. This will also be the only Women’s luncheon for the year and an opportunity to see the unveiling of our first ever Women’s Premiership flag. We look forward to the CGFCW family getting behind this special event. Our first Men’s home game will be Saturday 17th April against reigning A Grade Premiers University Blues. All our teams have been back in training in December, loving being back together and are looking forward to the upcoming season were we will finally get to celebrate our club’s centenary. Our calendar of events for 2021 will be finalised in early January and shared as soon as possible, as I am sure many of our community are keen to start planning their year. While things are certainly better now in Melbourne, we will likely still have strict guidelines by which we will need to operate for the start of the 2021 season. These will be clearly communicated for all our events and games, and while this may restrict some of the things we love about local football, the opportunity to play, watch and support the Blue and the White again will make it all worth it! We can’t wait! Stay safe, enjoy the holidays and I look forward to seeing you at Glenhuntly in 2021. Go Fields! Will Bowes CGFC President #fields
