19.01.2022 I would also say that all opinions are worth listening to. Why? We are all born and raised in various situations and scenarios. Therefore we all have different perceptions, opinions and biases. ... So its worth listening to other peoples ideas, perspectives and opinions because it might be something that you are blind to. I recently was in discussion with someone about a topic and I was totally adamant on my belief and perspective of the situation. Then that person straight up shared their perspective and it made sense. The leader was sharing how important it is to develop and invest in others because it has a better chance of employees staying. . What is even more important is developing and/or investing in all. He also calls out that we need to be better at transitioning people from end user expert roles into leadership roles. Leaders are responsible for the people who are responsible for the result. 02.01.2022 I had a good conversation with some colleagues yesterday. We were talking about how communication and engagement styles are not a one size fits all. I spoke about how as leaders we try to adapt to the persons style to ensure we are delivering value for them and we receive value from them. . This sums up what I mean here. Your leadership style may not match a team members style. So as a leader, work out how to provide value and get value. You will need to adapt to different engagement and communication styles.
