20.01.2022 Hi Everyone, People often ask us how do you gain experience in the modelling industry. One of the best ways is to enter competitions, particularly ones where you have to model in front of an audience. We will endeavour in future to inform you when we know of approaching modelling competitions. On that note there is a competition coming up on Sunday 2nd June at the Mingara Sports & Recreation Club in Tumbi Umbi. It's the Sparkle Fashionista Runway Modelling Competition and is open to a range of ages from 7 y/o to 20+. Details can be found at www.sparklefashionista.com.au.

20.01.2022 It was great to catch up with Miranda Kerr recently at Westfield Kotara. We had a nice chat and laugh about her early days, and how her mum brought her into CHAAYS when she was 13 y/o and asked "Do you think she has any potential ?". We both agreed what an awesome journey it's been for her since the fashion parade she did through us at Charlestown Square way back. Thanks to all the parents and friends for coming along to the parade and giving their support. Following the parade the students received their portfolios & certificates. Well done girls & guys. Big thanks to Kristy from Bella Fashion in the Hunter Street Mall (Opp Ncle Perm Blg Soc), and The Rad Store (next to Optus in the Mall) for supplying and fitting the clothes. For most of the students it was their first fashion parade. Thanks also to the relatives and friends who came along and gave their support. The students then headed back to CHAAYS for the presentation of their Certificates and Photo Portfolios. Well done girls ang guys.

15.01.2022 Our next Modelling Drama and Deportment Course commences on Saturday 9th February 2019. The course not only covers all the main areas of the Modelling & Acting industry, but is also great for building Confidence and Life Skills. The course is open to ages 12 and up. The girls will receive their portfolios at the course graduation fashion parade, to be held on Saturday 5th May at 11am at Vintage Revolution (https://www.facebook.com/newcastlevintage/) in the Newcastle Mall.
