08.01.2022 Classes recommence at Lambton Bowling Club on Thursday 23 July at 11am. It's been a long time since our last class, and I'm so looking forward to seeing all my lovely clients again!
08.01.2022 A few of my clients have contacted me today asking if classes are still going ahead. The information below is from NSW Health and was last updated today, 18 March 2020. Whilst the Pilates classes that I teach are not held at a gym, this is the most relevant information that I can find. And based on this information, and that which was presented by the Prime Minister this morning, classes are going ahead for now. "Is it safe for me to go to the gym? Keeping fit remains importa...nt. If you are well and have not been asked to self-isolate then you can go to the gym. Don’t go to the gym if you are unwell. Try to go to the gym when it’s less crowded. When at the gym, you should use wipes provided before you use each piece of equipment. Gym classes are currently OK, but this advice may change. Gyms should ensure that they are cleaning regularly, using appropriate disinfectant." NSW Health Commencing this week, all of my equipment: balls, bands, blocks and mats are disinfected after each class. The 'Australian Pilates Method Association' has listed a number of measures that Pilates teachers can put in place to help reduce risk of infection. Based on the information provided by APMA, I would ask that my clients wear socks (instead of bare feet) in class, and consider bringing a towel to place over mats and chairs. Should the current advice change, I will be sure to update my facebook page to keep you informed. If choose not to come to class to limit your exposure to the virus, then I fully support your decision. Everyone must make their own decisions about their own health, and those decisions must be respected by us all.
04.01.2022 Following today's announcement by the PM, all gyms are now closed and indoor exercise groups are to stop, so this means no more CHAIR Pilates classes from now until "we don't know when". I will miss my beautiful clients, but will take solace in my ponies for the time being. So take care, stay safe, and keep your t zone on!
02.01.2022 Great news, CHAIR Pilates classes starting again soon! The Kurri Kurri class will recommence on Thursday 9th July at 9am. There are a few changes to the use of the Senior Citizens Hall including signing a visitors book and sanitising hands (sanitiser is provided). Plus, if you wish to use equipment such as resistance bands and small balls, you will need to have your own equipment. This can be purchased from stores such as Big W, K Mart or Target. Or you can purchase from me a...s well. Please remember that all exercises can be performed without the use of equipment, so no need to purchase anything if you don't want to. I look forward to seeing all my clients again soon!! I am awaiting the green light to use the Kulnura Hall. It just needs a clean before we can restart the Kulnura class. I am also waiting to hear from the Lambton Bowling club about a restart date for the Lambton class. I will keep you posted on progress towards the restart of these two classes. Happy times ahead!
