25.01.2022 Hot day, daylight saving, evening round of golf, cool green grass, magnificent course, drink on the deck .................. Why not?

25.01.2022 Well yesterday proved we can do it. Mask up everyone!

23.01.2022 Another perfect winter’s day for the ladies - sun shining, birds singing, wattles blooming, course drying out ............. Ruth Gellert made it back to back brooches and also took the B grade scratch event and the putting trophy. Congrats Ruth! The A and C grade events were taken out by Rene Hamilton and Therese Jess respectively.

23.01.2022 The annual Gala Christmas Gentsomes is on again this Saturday, December 12th. Have you got a team together and entered yet? This is for members only and is the only event offered on Saturday. Come and win your Christmas ham or turkey!

22.01.2022 Who needs to head north for sunny winter weather? Just head out on course for your fix of sunshine and exercise and enjoy being close to nature! Full results for both men’s and ladies’ events today can be found at http://www.araratchalambargolf.com.au/golf/comp-results

21.01.2022 What a day! A large field fronted for the annual Christmas Ambrose hosted by the ladies. Players dressed up to create a festive atmosphere and then celebrated the golf with a meal in the bistro. Another hole in one - this time by Therese Jess on the 16th. The Stawell team of Leigh Johnston, Tania Dignan and Anna Sullivan won with the good nett score of 62. Well played ladies.

21.01.2022 It’s one thing to look forward to golf after working all week but it’s another to head out in the rain. Only two takers today - brave or no brains?

19.01.2022 With the championships over and the greens cored and top dressed, it was time for a light hearted Aussie Stableford. The ladies combined their golf with some other Aussie activities for a fun day.

19.01.2022 Great chance to get juniors involved in golf.

18.01.2022 Golf continues on over the holiday period. Come on out for a round.

18.01.2022 A huge field fronted for today’s Stableford, relieved to get out on course after last weekend’s closure. Despite colder and windy conditions, some scores in the high thirties were posted. Full scores are available at http://www.araratchalambargolf.com.au/golf/comp-results

17.01.2022 90 golfers enjoyed the magnificent conditions out on our course today. It was the monthly medal event for the men and Craig Potter continued his good form from last week to take the medal. Evergreen Joy Cronin continues to turn back the clock and won the ladies stableford with 42 points.

16.01.2022 Today was the annual challenge of President v Captain in a team Stableford. The Captain’s team came out on top and claimed the trophy (again!). The best individual score belonged to Wendy Brady.

15.01.2022 Another pearler of a day - just perfect conditions for the Men’s Monthly Medal. It was Robert Harricks who got the nod from Norm Clark in a count back when both finished with a nett 70. Shirley Hetherington put in another great 37 point round to take the ladies’ stableford. Full results for events today can be found at ... http://www.araratchalambargolf.com.au/golf/comp-results

14.01.2022 Another spectacular day out on course today - why would you want to be anywhere else? Today’s winner of the ladies 12-hole Stableford was Larelle McInnes (Willaura) with 28 points! 14.01.2022 Competition golf is back, as is play in groups of up to four. Perfect timing as the fairways are looking great and the greens are in immaculate condition. Social distancing, wearing of masks and one player to a cart are still requirements. The clubhouse is open to limited numbers but the deck is available for drinks (and eats). Here is some action from the past week or so.

13.01.2022 Another day to savor our beautiful course. Brooch winner this month is Wendy Brady - congratulations. Have you got your team entered in Saturday's Christmas Gala?

13.01.2022 Today was both a team and an individual event. Best score of the day was Pam Brennan with 44 Stableford points. Chris Dohnt posted 42 in Division 1 and was also a member of the winning team. Along with Penny Brown and Helen Boling they finished with the huge score of 201 points in the 3 person multiplication Stableford.

13.01.2022 Sensational winter sunshine brought players out of the woodwork today for a round of social golf. The course has dried out nicely, the wattles are blooming, the birds are singing .......... what else could you possibly want?

13.01.2022 Colder conditions, some showers of rain and a heavier course all set up a challenge for those golfers who played today. Didn’t worry Xav Vearing who took home the Monthly Medal with a fine score of 69 nett. Best of the ladies was Shirley Hetherington who survived a count back with Rene Hamilton. Please remember that full results can be found on the club's website at http://www.araratchalambargolf.com.au/golf/comp-results.

12.01.2022 The front 9 is still closed today but you can enjoy a hit up the back! Please avoid the few heavy patches where possible and remember to carry sand to fill any divots you make. The ladies started in heavy fog this morning but ended in bright winter sunshine. The weather is a bit like golf - you never know what you are going to get.

12.01.2022 Great to have so many out on course enjoying the sunny winter weather. Congrats to Pam Brennan and Ruth Gellert who won the the two Stableford divisions today. Full results at http://www.araratchalambargolf.com.au/golf/comp-results

12.01.2022 And the August Brooch winner is Meri White! She also took out the C grade stroke event. Well done Meri. The ladies had a bit of fun with masks today. They take a bit of getting used to but hopefully we will all adapt.

10.01.2022 Golfers are a hardy bunch (or is that foolhardy?). It was almost four seasons in one morning today as the ladies started in thick fog, followed by some rain, wind and finally a little sunshine. However all of that didn’t faze Liz de Fegely who finished with 29 points from the 12 hole Stableford!

10.01.2022 Spring has well and truely sprung so where better to be than out for a round, making the most of the course and the weather? Here are some pics from the past week.

10.01.2022 Better late than never. Congratulations to A, B & C grade Champions for 2020 - Michael Harricks, Roger Pearse and Mark Robb. Had to dig into the archives to find these photos!

10.01.2022 The course has been closed to all play for today and tomorrow. When the creek is running and there is water sitting on the greens up the back, you know it is too wet to play. It is important to protect the course to prevent damage when there is so much surface water about. Sorry for any inconvenience. The ladies started on the back 9 this morning but soon had to abandon play.

09.01.2022 There was a full field today for the Real Estate Agents Golf Day. Many thanks to these guys for organising another most successful day. Sincere thanks to all of the day’s sponsors. The many comments about the condition and beautiful presentation of the course are the result of the hard work of Chad and his small team. Well done fellas. Stay tuned for the results that will be posted here later.

08.01.2022 With the first six holes too wet to play, Saturday’s Social Golf was reduced to a 12 hole round. Despite this, there was no shortage of players out and about enjoying the exercise.

08.01.2022 What a day to enjoy a round of golf! Winter sunshine and no wind! The course has recovered well after its drenching at the weekend and the ladies teamed up in a 3BBB Stableford. The kangaroos and birds enjoy the natural beauty of our course - as do the golfers.

08.01.2022 More pics from the Chalambar Christmas Gala.

05.01.2022 Another early start for our dedicated groundsmen as they remove the surface moisture from the greens. Most of us were still tucked up in bed!

02.01.2022 Yesterday the ladies braved the foggy conditions and wet course to contest the Faux Forbes Cup. While the emphasis was on togetherness and fun, the golf was taken seriously with everyone vying to take the prestigious title. A, B & C grade winners were Maryanne Harricks, Alwyn Kitchen and Marlene Goudie. The coveted team trophy went to Marg Brehaut, Pam Brennan and Lyn Thomas. Well played ladies.

02.01.2022 While there may be no competitions during these Stage 3 restrictions, the course is still open to members and local residents. Play can be in pairs only, wearing masks and adhering to all social distancing and hygiene requirements, Reserve yourself a round with our new online booking system at www.bookatee.com.au/chalambar

02.01.2022 With no travel on the horizon for the foreseeable future, golf continues to fill the void for many. How lucky are we to be able to get out on the beautiful Chalambar course? Best of the bunch today were Lyn Thomas and Meri White.

01.01.2022 Why would you want to be anywhere else with winter weather like today? The ladies played the inaugural Good, Bad & Ugly team stableford which called for some creativity. You can’t beat a day with balmy sunshine and plenty of laughs. Winning team was Wendy Brady, Marlene Goudie and Sandie Shaw.

01.01.2022 Today saw the running of the 26th Gordon Jamieson Memorial 4BBB event. Gordon was a much loved member of the Chalambar community. A committee member and Captain, he was respected by all and was reknown for making everyone feel welcome at the club. Nicknamed 88 after the score he seemed to post regularly, Gordon is remembered by the event named in his honour. This is sponsored by the Jamieson family who are pictured at Chalambar today. 2020 winners of the Gordon Jamieson Memorial 4BBB are Craig Potter and Greg Kerr with a score of 47 points.
