25.01.2022 "SAYOUNARA" goodbye! Dear Friends, we have come to the regrettable decision to wind up our little accommodation business Chalet Hotaru. Bookings will no longer be taken as of the 31st of June 2020. This is due to a variety of issues, including but not limited to external work commitments, recent health concerns, demands of raising a family and not to mention the huge amount of much cheaper, non-shire approved competition/ accommodation available in our area now. ... We will be looking for responsible, gainfully employed permanent tennants with excellent references and police clearances to move into this beautiful property from approx 1st July 2020. Ideally this property is suited to a single person or a couple. Please note, ours is a family residence with an "abundance";of animals & poultry! So if either of things might bother you, probably not the right place for you I'm afraid. The property will be mostly furnished ( quality furnishings ) minus my Japanese items, antiques.and some fixtures. A proper upright stove/oven will be fitted to the kitchen as well as facility for a washing machine. The property has one beautiful main downstairs bedroom with private tatami mat sitting area & aircon & private courtyard garden with fish pond. Gorgeous living space with aircon & cathedral ceilings, separate kitchen/dining.Front verandah with seating & Japanese inspired garden and a sublime outlook. Luxury bathroom with free standing bath. Negotiated access to paddocks possible. We are on 5 acres. Level 2 restrictions include the following: NO watering l...awns NO water play toys NO outdoor showers (beach showers will be turned off) NO sprinklers, soaker hoses or unattended hand-held hoses Allowed every 2nd day odds/evens* before 9am and after 4pm: Water your garden with hand-held hose only for 30 minutes Microspray/drip irrigation only for 15 minutes Hand-held hose to clean your car only for 10 minutes All hand held hoses must be fitted with an on/off nozzle. * Odd/even days correspond to odd/even house numbers i.e. odd house numbers permitted on each odd day of the month and vice versa. No one can water on the 31st of the month.
