16.01.2022 Introducing 2018 Chalk Hill SBR Nebbiolo, Adelaide Hills Our first small batch release for 2021 and we’re only a week into the new year A highly aromatic variety, this wine has flavours of red cherries, leather and earthy spice. ... Whilst the wine is light in colour, the palate is medium bodied and full of flavour with a wave of firm tannins that provide wonderful length to the wine. The palate shows flavours of cherries, with rose petals, layers of spice, a hint of leather and tar notes. Nebbiolo is renowned as a great food wine. It pairs perfectly with soft cheese such as Persian fetta, or try duck pancakes with shallots and hoi sin sauce. The bouquet pulsates with black cherry, spice, licorice and pepper, the palate opening with a fanfare of dark fruits and finishes with fine-grained tannins.
