24.01.2022 WDABA are extremely excited for the return of our Junior Domestic Competition last night!!! It is important that we run our games on time to ensure that our Bio... Safety Officers have time to clean and prepare for our next game. If we could all please do the following on game night it would greatly assist. Game Day 1. Member plus one Adult(18+) only 2. Member and adult MUST enter the facility together. Adult must sign in 3. Strictly NO siblings 4. No basketballs. 5. All questions to be directed to the Court Supervisor/Bio Safety Officer. 6. Arrive to your game ten minutes earlier 7. When the game has finished please move away from the bench 8. Ensure that the parent/guardian is at the exit point to collect the member as soon as the game is finished If you have any questions please contact your club.

23.01.2022 AGM re-scheduled due to minimal attendance. In accordance with our constitution, our AGM has been re-scheduled to 7pm on Wednesday 2 September (1 week later) due to not achieving the required quorum, thank you to the 3 people who attended with the President & Secretary. No nominations have been received for any office bearer positions on the committee (thank you to the few people who have nominated for general committee).... To all parents of players - please be advised that the current office bearers (President & Secretary) are standing down after over 2 years of organising club activities. Parent volunteers are needed to ensure the continuation of the club. Alternative clubs and teams will need to be sought if parents are not prepared to get involved. We have over 200 players registered at our club. Further information to follow.

21.01.2022 Summer 2020/21 We are currently awaiting advice from WDABA on the commencement of the Summer 2020/21 Basketball Season. Once updates are received, this information will be passed on to families. What we can tell you is that players who registered/paid for the 2020 Winter Season will receive a $90 voucher code to cover the Summer Season club fees. Winter registrations will not be carried over, all players will need to re-register. ... Age Groups for the Summer Season are as follows: Under 10 Child Born 2012/13 Under 12 Child Born 2010/11 Under 14 Child Born 2008/09 Under 16 Child Born 2006/07 Under 19 Child Born 2003/04/05 We will post updates as received. 12.01.2022 Latest update for a return to basketball.

12.01.2022 Just a reminder for all returning and new players. For each 7 players that register, one parent will need to be in charge of the team. Different age groups require different levels of attention - ‘from active coaching’ to ‘management/supervision’. As a club, we expect to field around 30 team for Winter 2020 season. That’s the demand in the area! We don’t have 30 coaches waiting for their teams to fill.... We facilitate participation and assist administration of the competition. Volunteers make it happen for their kids!

10.01.2022 WDABA Message...REFUND WDABA have made the decision to refund $83 (less transaction fee) amount for Winter 2020 Season. This payment will be processed directly by PlayHQ and may take 3-4 weeks. We appreciate your patience.

09.01.2022 Basketball Victoria welcomed Sunday’s announcement from the Victorian Government in regard to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions with the current (as of November 9) ‘Third Step’ aligning Regional Victoria and Metropolitan Melbourne, plus the roadmap to the ‘last step’ (as of November 23). However, they are still awaiting clarification regarding the number of people allowed per venue or facility or per space from DHHS and Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) for both the ‘...Third Step’ and ‘Last Step’. Please note: The current DHHS guidelines stipulate that a ‘facility’ is capped at 20 people only, regardless of the number of courts or separated areas within the venue. We thank both Paul Lecher and Tracy Morgan for their hard work and commitment to the club over the previous years as respective President and Secretary. We know that they both put in many hours in these voluntary roles. New Committee:...
