12.01.2022 Another relaxing day in the Roma region. I would like to acknowledge the Gunggari and Mandandanji people, the traditional custodians of the lands in which we ex...plored today. After breakfast, we headed off to Mitchell where we enjoyed some unique sights, (too many to mention) local shopping & indigenous culture. Along the way we stopped at Muckadilla, a tiny town that has joined the quest to help raise awareness around depression in regional & remote communities by participating in the #bluetreeproject I will share more of the Blue Tree project and its origin on my Chalk It Up - Goondiwindi page to coincide with Queensland Mental Health Week. Back in Roma we needed a little sugar hit before tackling the Hospital Hill trail, Adungadoo pathway (which we will finish tomorrow) and had a sticky beak at the airport. After a full on day is was nice to enjoy another beautiful meal at the The Overlander Homestead Motel restaurant. See more
