Nick was our very first member when Chalk Up originally opened. He made the call and joined us just based on a vision after a chat with @chalkupcoach , even before we had opened our doors or had any equipment!. We will always be thankful to Nick for trusting us with something so important to him as his training. ... Having trained at CrossFit Boxes before, Nick wanted a place to train closer to home, a coach who he connected with AND someone who was able to program bench press! 08.01.2022 NOURISH. Instead of refraining from all the foods we 'shouldnt' eat, flip the switch and start relishing in the foods that NOURISH your body. Focus on a positive intention. Think: I eat to nourish my body. ... Nourishing foods are whole foods like vegetables, fruits, grains, beans, nuts and seeds. When you aim to create a plate of nourishing whole foods, you will naturally crowd out less nourishing processed and refined foods. If you are focusing on the intention to nourish your body, you will choose nourishing foods most of the time. This means you can enjoy the foods you love as wellas long as you SAVOUR them. Love ice cream? Have one or two spoonfuls. Give yourself the OKAY to enjoy the experience and really taste each bite. You’ll be satisfied and walk away from the situation feeling good about yourself.
