11.01.2022 CHANGES ANNOUNCED TO THE FIRST HOME OWNER GRANT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ESTABLISHED HOMES IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA In the 2015-16 Budget delivered on 14 May 2015, the Western Australian Government announced that the first home owner grant of up to $3,000 will be removed for the purchase of established homes in Western Australia. The first home owner grant of $10,000 for new homes will remain unchanged. The announced first home owner grant change will not take effect until amending l...egislation is passed by the Parliament, which is expected to occur during the latter half of 2015. The grant will remain in place for eligible applicants purchasing established homes with contracts signed before the legislation is passed. While the $3,000 grant is to be removed, the first home owner duties concession (i.e.: STAMP DUTY) of up to $14,400 will remain in place. See more

07.01.2022 The first home owners grant of up to $3,000.00 for the purchase of established homes in WA has been removed as of the 3 October 2015. Purchasers who purchase an establish property on or after 3 October 2015 will no longer be eligible for the grant. However, if the value of the property is $530,000.00 or less , they may still be eligible for the reduced rate of (stamp) duty. The first home owners grant of $10,000.00 for new homes will remain unchanged. Further details can be obtained from www.osr.wa.gov.au
