24.01.2022 What a wonderful "An Evening WIth" at Hayes Theatre Co, celebrating its fifth anniversary. Over the last five years, the Hayes has been the home for 46 musicals and over 90 cabarets, and provided a platform for actors, musicians, directors, producers and techs to create original musical theatre in Sydney, far more innovative and intimate than the "show-in-a-box" or "cookie-cutter" imports on the commercial stages. The Hayes has stimulated demand, and now we see the like of O...pera Australia putting on four musicals next year plus those from the likes of Sydney Theatre Company and Darlinghurst Theatre Company. We are so lucky to be spoilt for choice! It was great to see highlights from the last five years including "Sweet Charity", "Calamity Jane", "In the Heights", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Cabaret", "Assassins", "Evie May", "Cry-Baby" and "Rent".
