21.01.2022 Dear fellow chamber musicians, Here is a great opportunity for chamber music coaching which is being offered by the faculty of the MIMIR festival at Melba Hall, Melbourne Conservatory of Music (MCM), on Sunday 26th August. It is a half day of playing (9.30am -1pm) at MCM, including a private tutorial followed by a masterclass in Melba Hall, with free entry for audience members. ... This masterclass is an inaugural event, aimed at musicians such as ourselves, and runs the day before the start of the Mimir Chamber festival for MCM students. 19.01.2022 The 2020 Chamber Music Summer School, Mt Buller, is scheduled to run from January 19th to January 26th 2020, with Wilma Smith and Elinor Lea (violins) as joint Artistic Directors together with Tobias Lea and Gillian Ansell (violas), Michael Dahlenburg and Anna Pokorny (cellos). We expect applications to open on the website in early September, and we will notify you again here shortly beforehand with the date and time when applications will open. So start getting your groups organised!

18.01.2022 The 2017 Mt Buller Chamber Music Summer School will be in full swing from this Sunday 22nd January. Tutors and students come together for a week of workshops, culminating in two free public performances in the Mt Buller Alpine Chapel. Alpine Chapel Concerts Program Schedule:... 1) Tutors Concert, Friday 27 January 8.30 pm- By tutors of the Summer School including the Melba String Quartet featuring William Hennessy: violin, Elinor Lea: violin, Keith Crellin: viola, Janis Laurs: cello, together with guest violist Tobias Breider, viola (Principal Viola, Sydney SO). Schubert : Quartet- Death and the Maiden Mozart : String Quintet in G minor K516 2) Student Concert, Saturday 28 January 3.00 pm By students of the summer school presenting a wide variety of works, trios, quartets and quintets for strings.

08.01.2022 In 2020 we've relocated the Chamber Music Summer School to Candlebark Farm, Healesville. Everyone is working hard working towards the student concert on Saturday 25th January at 3 pm at Candlebark Farm, 531 KooWeeRup-Healesville Road.
