16.01.2022 We were all so saddened to hear of Richard Gill's passing this morning. The outpouring of love, tributes, personal stories and thanks throughout the day is testament to the huge impact Richard had on all our lives. The Chambermaids were fortunate to have him as a mentor as well as a teacher of solfege at the Con. Our thoughts are with Richard's family and loved ones at this time. We thank you Richard and will miss you terribly. xx

04.01.2022 So, so, so many kilometres around Australia have been done by us over the years in the trusty hire taragos (raagis for short). The fabulous raagis went over hill, down dale and way out the back of the country without a hiccup. They found the town school and motel every time without fail, waited while we played concerts, put up with so many of our drivers and their passengers and the mess. Before screens, we rigged up the travel DVD player on the esky to watch a movie, put the... feet up and cruised in style. We weren’t so sure about the new shape around the early nineties as we couldn’t fit our instruments, props, suitcases and a few sets of golf clubs in as well. Unfortunately the golf clubs had to go but the iso stayed (isolation booth-3rd row single seat, couldn’t hear the gossip, best place to retreat to for a nap) we did 6 abreast quite often (3 ladies in middle row), took ‘oh what a feeling’ photos at every iconic spot, and sang along in very loud voices to some hugely tacky songs.
