20.01.2022 For any of the newbies, let me introduce myself... my name is Leisha & I'm a self-confessed lover of love & solid wedding-aholic! It's been almost two years now since I made the life-changing decision to quit my job & follow my passion of starting a wedding planning business. A lot of people thought I was crazy. If you’ve decided you want a videographer, you’ll want to be booking that now. If you want a bridal shower, peruse the many ideas online & ask a bestie if they’ll plan it for you(this isn’t the same thing as your hens or bucks parties.. don’t worry, these will come later!).. a bridal shower is a gift-giving party generally held for a bride-to-be in anticipation of her wedding, typically more sophisticated & a multi-generational affair. What does that mean? Where are weddings heading? Well, this is a fun game! Impossible to predict, but amusing to contemplate nevertheless. If Elon Musk has anything to do with it, we’ll soon be travelling to church in driverless cars & from there, robot waiters, Siri doing DJ duties & honeymoons on the moon really aren’t that much of a stretch. 09.01.2022 . ’ You don’t NEED that ice sculpture or elaborate wedding favours or extra dress for your reception. It’s a fact. . ’ No doubt, wedding planning takes a lot of time. But in the same way that you should not spend money frivolously, don’t spend time frivolously either!... . You can’t do it all yourself & you certainly don’t want to be the person trying to keep things organised & on-schedule on the big day. . Determine how much you can spend based on how much you’ve already saved & how much you can save during your engagement. . Venue, caterer, photographer. Get the most important things crossed off your list first & then re-evaluate your budget to see what you have left for the smaller things. . , ! One of the best ways to get a very special & intimate moment with your partner on your wedding day. . ’ ! Eat breakfast. Have snacks that aren’t messy & are bite-size on-hand. Keep your bridal party fed during the day. . It always does. Chances are, no one will notice except you. . ’ Weddings are a sea of emotion & you’d be surprised who else will throw a fit besides you! Remember, it’s YOUR WEDDING, cut out as much of the noise as possible & focus on the things that are most important to you & your partner.

03.01.2022 Gah, it’s the end of February already can you believe it? Let's do a quick month in revenue shall we... Are you where you thought you'd be?... If the answer is "no", listen up. Whenever I see a "hole" in my business or life, I set out to solve it & if I find something super helpful, I can’t help but share that with others. Some of the most powerful lessons come from struggles not wins. SO if you're anything like me... getting overwhelmed is easy & being productive is HARD. The inability to sit down & actually get shit done directly correlates to your ability to create results. Here's how I organise my DAY to get more done, without losing my mind with "all the things" I have to do. Get out a piece of paper & write the following: ’ Repeat this every day of the week! Your "to do" list, but you're going to narrow it down to focusing on only THREE main tasks to complete each day. This helps your brain focus & actually PRODUCE an end result! Write down all the things rattling around in your brain taking up concentration & precious energy... Jot them down here so you can relax, refocus on the task at hand, & stop worrying about forgetting / something "falling off." Gotta run errands, pickup dog food, call the credit card company? All your personal "you" tasks & things can go here! In hourly increments, list out the hours in your day. If you hit the gym at 6am, pencil it in. Date night at 7pm, yep put it in. This is your "minutia" where you can actually see your schedule planned out! This is my secret weapon right now, actually, for years now. My calendar is a bit more complex, but I wanted to give you something to start with that could be implemented immediately. If you actually use this... you’ll go from running around like a headless chook to a cool, calm, collected AF badass. Spend the next 5 days trying this method & DM ME with your results!

Their role covers everything from helping you to select & lock-in vendors & suppliers (your venue, photographer, sparklers, celebrant, band, caterer, even that blowup unicorn you’ve been eyeing off..) to coordinating logistics pre-wedding, day of & after the fact. Yep, we can even help book in your honeymoon & your accomodation!... We think about the practical things you might not know much about including council permits, generators, rubbish removal, port-a-potties & contingency for wet weather options. We will also create all your run sheets & schedules & be the main point of contact for all your wedding vendors so you don’t need to. After you’ve sorted out whether you’re ordering or creating your own save the dates, you’ll need to send them to your guest-list, obvs. ... BONUS TIP // its not all too common these days to have everyone in your life’s postal address on hand. Sooo, check out Postable a site that allows you to create a private link you can simply email, text or send via Facebook messenger with a form. Once everyone’s completed the form, it’ll be available to you in one place & can be exported into a neat excel spreadsheet. Next up, you’ll begin researching wedding invitations & associated paper goods. If you want to DIY your wedding invitations, come up with a ‘plan’. If you can afford a day-of coordinator, nows the time to reach out & hire one; if you can’t, ask a friend to essentially be your wedding day point-of-contact, your wedding ‘stage manager’, your eyes & ears on the ground (best not to have anyone from your bridal party as they’ll be right beside you for most of the big day).
