The Wheel of the year, as she turns again, it is time to celebrate Summer solstice/Litha/Mid summer’s eve December 21st, the longest day of the year and the shortest night. The sun does seem to stand still as he reaches his furthest point from the equator. It also marks the time when the sun will start to decline. The peak has been reached and it now is t...ime for the Sun to retreat. Our ancestors realized Summer Solstice is the beginning of the END of summer. The summer solstice is the time of the first harvest. The Earth is Lush and full of life, the fruits are plentiful; this bounty that earth has nurtured over the last few months is now ready to be picked. The day lasts so long, and the celebration lasts well into night, with dancing, food, mead, wine. This is the moment you realise that you truly reap what you sow, all that hard work, commitment and the dedication ha s finally paid off. When night approaches, allow the fires to burn brightly in honour of the Sun. This is a time to strengthen the bonds between all those that walk upon the lands as we chant to Sun and his continued service to the earth and its creatures. 22.01.2022 On December 21st, there is going to be a great conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn. The last time this has occurred was in the Renaissance medieval era. Jupiter is limitless, dealing with expansion, higher wisdom, learning and spiritual beliefs, whereas Saturn deals with karma, restrictions, limitations and structure. This shift is marking a time of great rebirth not only on a global scale but on a personal level aswell.
