15.01.2022 TOGETHERNESS It is a strange time where we arent actually physically allowed to be together but together is what we need most. I have refrained from putting a post up due to the amount of media that is currently on everyones screens however I feel that the below message needs to be repeated. . Love will never not be celebrated. Love will not be cancelled. ... . Weddings and celebrations are currently on hold whilst we navigate through this difficult time however love knows no bounds. I am beyond excited when I think about all the amazing parties and celebrations we all get to witness once this is all over. I am looking forward to witnessing people embracing in the streets again and celebrating with loved ones after watching a couple say their vows. . . To all of our gorgeous clients who face the difficult, unknown decision ahead, I am here holding your hands every step of the way. To all of the friends in the industry, we are going to need a lot of wine and Skype chats to get through this tough and testing time for the industry, but we are strong individuals who can go a whole wedding day on a cup of coffee and are used to going with the flow, so continue being the tough cookies I know you are! . 03.01.2022 I am a typical female when it comes to flowers, I love them. Flowers on a cake, flowers in a cocktail, you name it and I will 100% agree. . Here are my favourite hints and tricks when it comes to floral styling: . Get a florist who is super talented, I have been lucky enough to work with some AMAZING florists over the years and I have had a couple of bad ones too. Do your research and get a couple of quotes. Make sure they have all the inspiration of the look you want to a...chieve. Discuss budget vs. your overall look. If you have your heart set on peonies in off peak season prepared for the budget to go up or for the amount of flowers to decrease. Reuse as much as possible - If you are wanting floral arrangements for down the aisle for your ceremony. Perfect, then get a staff of family member to then place these at the reception for more styling options afterwards. Having a feasting banquet down the table? Although I love the look, I wouldn't recommend long floral runners down the table as hot plates will destroy the florals/greenery (unless you hire raisers) I would recommend vases of flowers clustered down the table. Hanging installations are such a dream but also adds a bit more logistics and cost to the mix. Floral stands work well to create the overall look of height at a reduced cost. Give your bouquets to your coordinator to display nicely on the bridal table and walk in with a glass of champagne instead. If you don't want a lot of flowers or colours, greenery and candles work wonderfully too! Just be mindful, greenery can cost just as much as flowers. Ask your guests if they want to take some flowers home at the end of the night or ask your venue if they drop these off to a nursing home the next day. Don't be afraid to play with different colours and style, I have seen some incredible arrangements done! . . I can go on and on but I might have to save that for a blog featuring some of my favourite florists! xx See more

01.01.2022 Wedding planning during this uncertain time, trust me it will be okay! Everyone is going to celebrate your love and commitment to one another one way or the other, we just have to learn to adapt to the plans we cannot control (as a planner this is really hard for me to type but we just have to!) . My advice: Breath Get a big glass of wine (like I am talking BIG!)... Come up with 3 plans with your partner . We have been working closely with our beautiful couples and their wonderful suppliers for their upcoming weddings and it is a little frustrating for everyone because no one has a magical crystal ball that can predict when this is going to end so I just wanted to share a few tips to anyone whos wedding is coming up who havent yet made the decision to cancel. . I highly recommend sitting down with your partner and come up with 3 plans: Plan One Continue as planned (this of course depends on how soon the wedding date is) Plan Two If the numbers are still reduced by the government what does your original date look like with these rules? Plan Three Lock in an alternative date and notify your suppliers of the additional date so you can make a call a little closer to the day. . All of the suppliers I have worked with have been super amazing so just have an open, honest conversation with them and talk about your options or a possible date change. . Things you can focus on during this time: - Styling and mood boards - Layout of your wedding - Wedding Stationary like signage (come up with the overall concepts, find out how much lead time your supplier needs and leave it to a little later to determine if the date needs to be amended on the designs) - Seating Chart this is my least favourite task for a wedding so get started on this - Wedding music get a takeaway and more wine and sit and have a date night in your lounge room. . If anyone needs any recommendations or additional tips let me know!
