22.01.2022 We are heartbroken over the debilitating fires across Australia, with special thoughts to those wineries and producers in the regions of South Australia. We understand that the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island are both heavily affected, and we simply wish everyone is safe and that the fires are contained as quickly as possible. Kate in SA (our Champagne Jeeper person on the road) has created this to fundraise for the local CFS. It's a tough time of year for many and for tho...se affected by the fires it is just disastrous. The winery has a great history of supporting their growers, and building and sustaining an environmentally productive ethos, but also has featured women winemakers at the helm for very many years. I have known Jane Thomson for many years, and her work in bringing together the Austr...alian Women in Wine Awards, and building our industry has been nothing short of phenomenal. With Jane Thomson building this event to showcase the outstanding women of our wine industry, Champagne Jeeper is so very proud to be just a tiny part. Champagne Jeeper has had women at the helm for very many years, with the current chef du cave Sidonie Lalauze-Martin building on the Jeeper reputation. And yes - it looks like a slightly silly name, but it comes from an excellent story whi...ch set the path for the Jeeper future. No compromise, just the very best growers and fruit, with a minimum of two years in barrel. Chardonnay makes our heart leap, and it drives each of the wines in very diverse ways. And the art of the 'assemblage' is the core of the Champagne Jeeper ethos - bringing everything together so that the whole, the Assemblage, is so much greater than the sum of its parts.
