24.01.2022 Are Bruises okay after a Massage? We had this lovely lady come in to see us due to ongoing shoulder issues. Previously she had been seeing a masseus who was constantly leaving bruises on her body and she asked us whether this was normal and good for her. ... Bruising depends on multiple factors including low iron levels, skin elasticity and fragility and what type of massage pressure you enjoy. If you have ongoing sessions with bruising or pain in the area. The bruising is not indicative of deeper tissues being moved and needs a proper Physiotherapy assessment if there is pain involved. If youre getting bruises because you get great results and love a strong massage and have no issues afterwards theres nothing wrong with that in our opinion too... just dont keep backing up the deep massages day after day as the bruises will worsen! What are your thoughts... when is it okay to have bruises after a massage or physio session? See more

01.01.2022 Is Vitamin C important ? Vitamin C is a crucial nutrient found in lots of fruits and vegetables. It’s main job is to make sure your tissues and wounds heal faster and more effectively. This means if you regularly exercise or if you are recovering from injuries or surgery your body needs more vitamins, minerals and protein to help rebuild itself. There is a correlation with the more you do, the more nutritious your diet needs to be to support optimal energy production and healing. So don’t skimp out on your fruits and veggies. If you hate them talk to a dietitian about using supplements to help you out, especially if you want to recover faster from an injury! See more
