18.01.2022 This Saturday morning we are hosting the first of our Chances Mini Markets Come along and support our locals whilst grabbing breakfast or a coffee. We will have limited tables available due to the event, so please book ahead to ensure you get a table.

15.01.2022 Our mission is to provide employment opportunities to people who are experiencing homelessness from across the Mackay region, and to provide you, our much loved customers, with exceptional service, food and coffee. Whilst your support is incredible, we can't deny that our wage bill is markedly higher than it should be right now. Our employees are showing up, keen and eager for work each day. We would hate to have to reduce their hours or cut back our staff. 14.01.2022 We are seeking a part time chef for our gourmet non-profit cafe, to assist our current head chef and manager. The right person will be reliable, passionate and patient as they will be responsible for helping our cafe manager/head chef to train and upskill our current staff members. Good communication skills are a must, along with a passion for excellent food and customer service and a great work ethic. Must be available Tues to Sat and potentially Sunday's in the near future..., with a rotating roster which will allow every second weekend off. Hours will be part time - approximately 20 hours per week (to be agreed upon with right candidate) Own transport and vehicle highly regarded. Experience essential, although we may consider a third year apprentice. Please note: we work with people from a variety of backgrounds and situations, and ask that you only apply if you are patient, understanding and non-judgemental.
