24.01.2022 This bathroom needed updating now its more practical and user friendly. We replaced the shower bath with a walk in shower with frameless shower screen and put a shelf in the wall. We installed a shaving cabinet and new flick mixer taps and a wall hung vanity.

24.01.2022 HOW SAFE IS YOUR SHOWER SCREEN There have been many reports of shower panels exploding unexpectedly in Perth causing injury to people which can also cause damage to products in the bathroom eg: tiles, cabinets and baths There are many causes for the phenomenon of exploding glass but some of the main probable causes include: glass quality ... frames and fitting quality eg: door hinges improper installation no expansion gap for building movement With a lot of shower screen's now being prefabricated and sold in kits which usually is a cheaper option. You need to do your research and ask questions about these products eg: Where the glass comes from? What are the quality of the fittings (eg: door hinges)? Could this product have been damaged or stressed in transit? Research can dramatically reduce the risk of injury or damage. Some of these prefabricated shower screens are made of great quality and are outstanding products to use but if installed by an unqualified glass installer then the risk of exploding glass will increase dramatically. To reduce the risk of injury to you and your family then it's always best to make sure you use a qualified glass manufacturer and qualified installer. At Chandlers Tiling Service we never use prefabricated shower screen's as we believe it's not the best practice to do so. We use a quality glass manufacturer who installs all our shower screen's, mirrors and windows it may cost a bit more but reduces the risk to customers to the lowest level We have used Just Glass Pty Ltd for over 10 years.

15.01.2022 Another happy customer, on time and on budget. What is essential in a bathroom renovation is what is behind the tiles that you can't see that really matters. Example on this job new hot and cold copper pipes throughout the whole bathroom, new drain pipes changed from old galvanised pipes to new plastic pipes, new concrete floor with plastic underneath concrete to act as a water barrier which it did not have prior to the renovation. This bathroom will easy last another 30 - 40 years.

14.01.2022 Another happy customer! This reno was on time and on budget. The customer wanted to upgrade there bathroom as it was dated. We installed flick mixer taps new shower head, semi frameless shower screen, new bath, custom made vanity cabinet and tiling to ceiling height.

12.01.2022 The risks for homeowners who use uninsured tradespeople are considerable. Whilst a tradesperson will be financially liable for any property damage or personal injury they cause whilst working, without insurance it can be difficult for a homeowner to obtain any form of compensation. Surprisingly, for most tradespeople it is not mandatory to hold insurance that pro...tects the general public in the event of personal injury or property damage. There are certain trades such as electricians and plumbers who must hold public liability insurance. When doing a complete bathroom renovation project it then starts to become more complex and more involved it could be deemed by an insurer to be out of the general scope of works or to big or to broad for just public liability insurance eg: you build an extension or second storey to your home you would expect the builder to have the appropriate insurance for the project as it is far more complex . It is the owners responsibility to check that trades persons are insured and insured properly because they are the ones that will have the biggest financial loss. We hold public liability and product liability insurance as its the best protection we can give to the homeowner. Checking a tradesperson’s insurance is as simple as asking them for a copy of their certificate of currency and checking that the details match up.

01.01.2022 This bathroom was leaking really badly into the bedroom. The client wanted a walk in shower with a brick nib wall with flat floor. The shower area is under a standard size and with such big floor tiles it was a real challenge to keep the water in the shower area. As you can see the job has come up cleaner, tidier and more functional and we are very happy with the result.
