22.01.2022 We will not erase our history. We will not erase the owners of this land.

22.01.2022 This Reconciliation Day, we are honoured to post work by @coffinbirth, a 24 year old Wiradjuri woman. The only way for Australia to move forward is the acknowledgment and atonement of our history by non-Aboriginal Australians. Our history will not be erased, neither will the owners of this land.

16.01.2022 Here are three of our core topics we have developed in order to deliver via our in school workshops. Healthy Relationships & Consent: We discuss what makes all types of relationships (including friendships and family relationships) healthy and unhealthy, and how we can work toward best understanding the topic of ‘consent'. We also hope to work in discussion of the #Metoo movement and what it tells us about how consent is viewed within our society.... Masculinity: ‘Masculinity’ is another key workshop that is imperative to discuss in order to work toward a more equal society. This workshop breaks down the concept of ‘masculinity,' its impact on the mental health of young boys, and explores the concept of 'alternative masculinity’. Feminism & Pop culture: This workshop presents a fun, engaging method for young people to relate to, and therefore open up discussion surrounding, feminism. It explores how women and gender are portrayed by the media, including common tropes and how social norms can be reinforced or abolished. To find out more about these workshops (and plenty more!) and to get your school involved visit www.changetheframe.org.au

16.01.2022 In light of National Sorry Day, we would like to reflect upon the historical treatment of Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people, the way in which the stolen generation has negatively impacted upon on their communities and how it continues to do so through transgenerational trauma. We would like to commend Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for the resilience they’ve shown in their fight toward reconciliation. We acknowledge that this fight requires and demands the responsibility of non-Indigenous Australians.

Thank you and congratulations to our driven Director, Sita Sargeant for making all of this happen. A further congratulations to all of the other grant recipients!

13.01.2022 With vigils being held around the country for comedian and women's rights activist, Eurydice Dixon, we at Change the Frame wanted to take a moment to honor the memory of such a strong young woman who's life was taken before it's time. In wake of this tragic event, it sheds light on the double standards which women still live with today, as emphasis continues to be placed on the victims of these attacks to make sure they're keeping themselves safe. How many more of these trade...gies need to take place for the onus to be placed on the attackers - and not the innocent victims? . . . . . . . #feminsim #rapeculture #eurydicedixon #tribute See more

05.01.2022 Emmie Shields, our Curriculum Development Director, talks about the steps you can take to becoming a strong ally. "Being an ally or a COS is not a status or an identity, it's all about action. You can't just decide to be an ally being in solidarity is something you strive for but ultimately it is the choice of those you are attempting to unanimously support as to whether they trust you enough to be an called their ally"
