24.01.2022 We cannot control what life throws our way but we can control our thoughts. Our thoughts can either go in the direction of despair (remaining stuck and giving up hope) or acceptance of the situation and knowing it will pass with patience and faith. The choice is always yours to make.



24.01.2022 #day3 slightly late in posting but todays efforts in keeping fit for well-being was weight training. I am not a fitness trainer and would not preach what would be best for each individual, however I incorporate some weight. Today I worked on legs and core. Any type of fitness is perfect. 24.01.2022 What are your 2021 goals? Do not wait for tomorrow simply get a piece of paper now and brainstorm what you would like to achieve. Whether it is a short term goal that will take a month or two or a long term goal that will take the whole year, now is the time to plan. Writing down your goal helps you visualize where you would like to be, or it can be seen as a contract to yourself of what you would like to achieve. There are no limit, just believe you can do it and you are already one step closer!

24.01.2022 Setting boundaries means having the ability to communicate how you feel and following through with the actions. The more you allow people to disrespect you the more they will continue to do so. Spend time with those that inspire you and make you feel great when you have left their company as opposed to those that drain you and make you feel disappointed and negative once you leave their presence.

22.01.2022 Being around friends and family that make you happy, positively impact your mental health. Minimise the ones who drain you or bring you down. Its always your choice with who you spend your time with. But if it is family or colleagues and you have to be around them, minimise your conversations and self disclosure. Less they know the less they can talk about.

The human race are known for being social, they thrive on interactions. The need to be listened too and understood is something everyone wants, but why is it that even though so simple, so hard for many. 21.01.2022 Everyone has goals they would like to achieve, whether it is to lose weight, get fit, finish university, get that job you wished you could have. Why is it that some make it, and some don't? It's about not giving up! There will always be difficulties and hurdles to overcome, but it is about not feeding into those thoughts of failure or believing it is not achievable. We are not super human and cannot be positive all the time, but that's okay. Just FOCUS on your goal and whether you move one step forward and two step back, if you keep persisting you will get there.

18.01.2022 Why is it so hard to let go of past challenges in life? We feel unjustly accused or our life may not have followed suit on how we had hoped or planned. It is human nature to remember especially past hurt and disappointment. It's only when you accept it that you can move forward. Be kind to yourself, you got through the struggles the best you knew how at the time. Now is a fresh start! It is okay to reflect on the past but remember what is done is done. Accepting the past and all its challenges is a form of growth, strength and resilience. Now its time to "just be". Enjoy every moment of every day and strive to improve yourself. Follow your passions and aspirations, there are no limits as long as you believe you can achieve!

05.01.2022 #day7 well-being challenge complete. Todays workout consisted of legs and core, plus 30 min treadmill, 10 min stair master. Day 6 fitness didnt happen but thats okay! There is always the next day to start over if one day doesnt go as planned. The same goes for everyday life, dont be discouraged if you have a bad day, there is always a new day ahead!

True happiness is when you wake up in the morning and love what you do. The people around you inspire and encourage you to be your best. Do not lower your standards for anyone which unfortunately is something individuals do to "get that job". You are worth more than an employer that either lets you go, or doesn't offer you that position you strive for? Be selective because you are worth it. If you don't get that position, it just means it wasn't the right fit for you or them.
