21.01.2022 ~Exciting News!!~ When I started my Bach of Counselling, I had a strong idea in mind of what my future practice would look like. I wanted to create a Wellness Hub, where multiple Allied Health professionals could work in a space that was all about healing in multiple ways. With this in mind, I am super excited to announce that the start of this dream has come to fruition, as I welcome Rachel from Strength In Healing to my office at Sanctuary Point!!... Rachael is a Naturopath & Remedial Massage Therapist specialising in Compression Therapy, Bioimpedance analysis, weight loss & stress management. Rachel will be working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and will be available starting this Saturday. I was excited to be a fur grandma..but unfortunately, due to many complications, our beautiful mumma lost her whole litter. These are the foster babies that are now mending my families broken heart

04.01.2022 Tip 5 for surviving the season! Stay offline. As much as social media is a great tool for keeping in contact with family and friends, if you are the type of person that feels pressured by what others are doing or feel that you need to be keeping up with everyone, it can be a great idea to try and limit your time online over the Christmas season. Remember, what you see of others is what they choose to show you, so comparing your life to their highlights will never leave you feeling positive! Stick to being in the moment in your own moments of happiness.

01.01.2022 Commencing in March, Changing Tide Counselling & Mental Wellness will be running Confident Cooperation- a 6-week NDIS social skill-based group that has been divided into two age groups. In small groups, the participants will have the opportunity to: - Break down abstract social concepts into concrete actions - Work in supported pairs or groups with cooperation... - Foster self-awareness and self-esteem - Be provided with a safe and supported setting to practice new skills learnt through games and activities. The program will suit NDIS participants who are: - Self or Plan Managed - Can work within a small group with moderate assistance. - Would like to increase their Social Skills and understanding of concepts that provide healthy and safe relationships and friendships. There will be 2 staff present throughout the groups and spots are strictly limited. Let me know if you have any questions!
01.01.2022 Did you know?? Anxiety can show up in multiple different ways that are often not recognised as being anxious. Do you resonate with any of the following?? - Feeling panic if your house isn't spotless and things are out of place. - Having a fear that people might come by unannounced and see you and your house with no prep time to get it just right. - Believing that if there are similarities between situations it will definitely happen the same as before. The key to tackling these is to start digging under the behaviour to find the thought and the emotion that is driving it. Self awareness will be your best weapon!
