25.01.2022 Our body is an amazing thing that constantly reminds us about how we are really going emotionally, physically and spiritually. Recently, I had a tension headache. Didn't even know if it was such a thing. It was simply my body reminding me to rest, and find ways to lead a less stressful life. My clients often visit me with headaches and at the same breathe talk about a tense neck and shoulders. Although I can definitely provide them relief of the tension, it's really the ever...yday reminders of : * Limit your stress. Try to plan ahead. ... * Exercise regularly. * Get enough sleep. When you're well-rested, it's much easier to deal with daily stress. * Improve your posture. A strong stance can help keep your muscles from tensing. ... * Drink lots of water Our bodies are amazing. We only need to pay attention and listen to it.

24.01.2022 Here's the fourth video on massaging your own chest. This is exactly what I do in my practice. Please be mindful if you have a painful chest or if you have had a heart attack recently, please don't anything that is compromising the health of your chest. Hope this helps you in some way. https://youtu.be/fzkRZcVTuQs

23.01.2022 A lot of people ask me about points on the feet and what they mean. Well, I thought I'd put up a chart for those interested.

23.01.2022 Hope all the fathers out there had a wonderful Fathers Day. My own dad passed away many years ago, but dads come into our lives in so many forms, as step dads, as uncles, as those who care for us like their own children, even when our dads can't be there. So, to you dads, enjoy your day with your loved ones. Such a gift to mean so much to someone you love x

22.01.2022 To support the government's directive, I will be closed till further advice from the government. I will continue to post online supporting materials so you can massage yourself. Stay safe x

18.01.2022 Here's the first video on massaging your own hands. This is exactly what I do in my practice. Please be mindful if you have a sore hand, and don't do anything that is compromising the health of your hand. Hope this helps you in some way. Have added additional pics to stretch the hands as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-91FEHdxfw8

15.01.2022 Here's the second video on massaging your own arms - it's a quick one. This is exactly what I do in my practice. Please be mindful if you have sore arms, and don't do anything that is compromising the health of your arms. Hope this helps you in some way. Remember to go towards the heart first. Excuse the giggle, it was my 4 year old trying to pat a millipede and trying to be very quiet at the same time. https://youtu.be/UG7nhXwB5pc

15.01.2022 Going for a massage is always great. Not only does it feel like you can completely relax, you can have areas in your body stretched and massage that you normally can't do yourself. I always think having a massage gun at home is just gold. Not only is it great when you need a release, you can also massage those legs and arms when you need it most. Most are preety good. It just depends on your budget and what functionalities you want. If you want to see one in action, let me know and I can show you the one I have.

14.01.2022 If you ever need permission to simply lie in a bath with Epsom salts, with a drink of your choice and candles, well, here it is. Sometimes when our body is wound up, all we seriously need to do is learn to relax. There is an amazing amount of research coming out of Harvard and other universities how important relaxation is to your wellbeing. It's not selfish. It's incredibly selfless. The more you can look after yourself, the more you can help others. You are not much support if your own cup is empty. Put your own oxygen mask on first as they say. I prefer a nice glass of pinot myself ;)

12.01.2022 Our body keeps score, that's for sure. Trauma of any kind is like a sticky kind of glue that can stay in the body for a long time if not worked through. It not only manifests and lingers in our brain, our body also starts to send us signals that we need to continue to fill our own cup, and work with our needs and wants. Below is a great article on trauma, its effects, how to understand it and how to work through it. I've also linked a great free online summit which may be use...ful to someone. Take care of you. https://medium.com//how-unprocessed-trauma-is-stored-in-th https://collectivetraumasummit.com/

11.01.2022 Here's the third video on massaging your own neck. This is exactly what I do in my practice. Please be mindful if you have a sore neck, and don't do anything that is compromising the health of your neck. Hope this helps you in some way. Remember to go towards the heart first. You want to play with the pressure. https://youtu.be/1V9MKeSfvoc

09.01.2022 Massage can be interpreted in many ways and in many forms and people have had their own experiences of what massage meant to them. People do ask - what kind of massage do you do? It's hard to explain. The massage I do is quite deep - not in a physical sense, although sometimes that happens, more in an emotional and spiritual sense. My philosophy is not to massage more than 1 client a day, and I am not usually time-bound. I care about the outcome. Every-body is different and ...I give all my energy and focus to what your body and energy need. It takes all my senses to work with what the being in front of me requires of me, and I find it not only a joy to offer, but also coming from a place of a complete honor to work on any being that I can give all my attention to. I work on the muscles, yes, but more importantly in my experience, I work on the micro muscles, the muscles, and fibers under the bigger muscles. I work on the bands of your body that connects all your body together, and I work with your breath. Your breath allows me to move and shift your body, and your breath tells me when it's the right time. I work on your bones, and in between them. I stretch your body and keep reminding it not to forget that it is all connected. I listen to your words and between your words and I care about your mindset. It sends me an intuition on where I should start. I love my work. I feel honored to work on anyone who shows up at my steps. I'm also not right for everyone, as we are all in different stages and consciousness of our lives. Just like Goldilocks, I may be too soft for some, too hard on others, and for some, I'm just right :) See more

08.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums, step mums, dads who are mother figures, guardians of humans and mums of furry ones. Hope you had a wonderful day x

07.01.2022 Our body is very cluey. It sends us messages every single second. It is also good at storing things for us such as feelings and emotions. It's important to know (self-awareness) when our bodies are storing feelings and emotions that can hinder our overall wellbeing, and what to do with it when we do (self-expression and self-care).

06.01.2022 Some clients are curious about the oils I use, and I always make sure I let everyone know what I've used. I think it's the right thing to do as our skin does absorb quite a lot. Here's a quick video on the oils I use (Arnica, Lavender, Spaghni Rose, Sacred Sandlewood and Frankincense) to not only heal my clients, and keep their skin nice and moisturised!

05.01.2022 If you've ever visited me, the first thing we do is get your feet in water. What I'm trying to feel there is how your feet is coping, especially your big toe. Your big toe connects all throughout your body, so it's important for me to check for its flexibility, and whether it's connecting well to the rest of your body. Here's a great article on the Big Toe, plus also some exercises to make your big toe stronger.... https://www.wellandgood.com/big-toe-flexibility/

05.01.2022 Those who have visited me before know that I used to operate from my office. This was fine and it worked. However I took the opportunity while in COVID lockdown to renovate another space on the property allowing my clients and I to have our own space. I feel very proud having completed this and can't wait to share the space with you. We are officially open for business <3

05.01.2022 We are very excited to be opening our doors again in late June, given all goes well with the government's health advice.

04.01.2022 Here's some stretches you can do on your lats. If your lats are too tight, they can create back pain and other pain in the upper part of your body. Here's link to some great stretches - https://www.healthline.com/health/lat-stretches

04.01.2022 When something aches and you feel the urge to press it to relieve the ache, stop and have a think about how else that part of the body might be connected to other parts that are nearby. By pressing on the particular area, it will just get angry (as my own massage therapist says).Try and release the surrounding areas too.

03.01.2022 Hi friends and clients, I'm in the process of rebranding the massage business. I'd love to get your thoughts on which images you like and colours? The top or the bottom?

02.01.2022 There are many different types of pain in our body. Some are chronic, due to over-use or an illness. Some pain I believe occurs and sits in our body based on the mind-food we feed it - that is, the thoughts we have and the emotions we hold on. Focusing on negative thoughts can often lead to decreased motivation as well as greater feelings of helplessness. This type of critical inner dialogue has many negative outcomes on our wellbeing. Those who find themselves frequently engaging in negative self-talk tend to be more stressed. And this stress shows up in our body in many ways. So, if negative self talk starts to show up, ask yourself, is this helping or hindering you and whether this is opening and freeing your body, or causing it to shut down and cause tension.

01.01.2022 Last night I had a slight twinge in my back. This morning I reflected on the discomfort and its relationship to the breath. It is super important and helpful to breathe out when coming against force. When I say force, it means bending down, getting up, picking something up, getting out of the car, reaching for something etc - anything that requires us to move against our natural relaxed state. A quick video to talk about its importance and how it works while I walk to our beautiful local beach in Middleton.
