13.01.2022 The following is an extract taken from a @lithgowmercury article written by Ciara Bastow. July 1, 1870 saw the first train pull into the Rydal Railway Station. The line to Rydal was not quite completed but the contractor pulled the train and the official party arrived. This was a significant step in the progress of rail across the state and for quite a while Rydal was where people and goods made the stop and had to use other forms of transport such as horses, coaches or wagons to go any further. July 1, 2020 will be another significant date for the Rydal Railway Station, marking 150 years since that first train arrived. @ Rydal, New South Wales
