08.01.2022 Yin Yoga with Ares is a Beautiful, slower-paced and more Meditative and Restorative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of Yoga. In Yin yo...ga, the poses are held for a long period of time - typically three to five minutes or longer - in order to target the connective tissues such as the ligaments and tendons rather than focusing primarily on the muscles and core strength. The poses are far more passive, with little to no muscular engagement and as a result, a Yin practice is much more Relaxing and Therapeutic than traditional Yang or 'strong' Yoga styles. The Yin method allows fluids to flow back into any joints that may have dried out and seized up due to lack of use or movement, resulting in vastly increased mobility and a significant reduction in aches and pains. Please come and join me 'yin' my new home at Lola Yoga - located above Loving Hut Cafe in the Fremantle Fibonacci Centre on Blinco Street in White Gum Valley. Classes commence Tuesday October 9th and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday Morning at 11am - 12:30pm thereafter. It's the perfect setting for my 90 minute yin classes, to come and drop in, stretch out, surrender and relax.
