22.01.2022 Year 4 had a wonderful time at Birrigai today. Students enjoyed a day of adventures, topped off with a sausage sizzle, cooked by Mrs Simpson and some amazing parent helpers - thank you!

22.01.2022 This week Year 2 have been measuring capacity using informal units like blocks and formal units (millilitres). They have been making predictions and then seeing how close they were. Which cup do you think would hold the most water?

22.01.2022 Today in Science, year 2 explored momentum and gravity. Using our knowledge of Rube Goldberg, we discussed the importance of ramps and why ramps are important. Our experiment was wondering and predicting what would happen to the car and marble if the ramp got higher.

21.01.2022 Our Enviro Squad have begun a new project. They are collecting used drink containers from canteen lunch orders for the ACT Container Deposit Scheme. They will receive a 10 cent refund for each container. Money raised will go towards further school sustainability projects.

21.01.2022 In Indonesian, kinder students have been learning colours. Here they are practising naming the colours, while helping hermit crabs find new shells.

21.01.2022 Year 2 students are investigating ways to collect and represent data. Today 2SS visited the teacher's car park to see if white was the most popular colour. We shared our findings and created a column graph to prove it was!



20.01.2022 Well hasn't this year been a little different!? BUT we have an amazing group of volunteers to thank for all their efforts in our wonderful school community. From managing our Afters program to organising sausage sandwiches. From selling uniform items to creating yearbooks and teatowel mementos. Our team have sold raffle tickets and ordered yummy mangoes, have helped out with colour runs and handed out icecreams at the Disco. Let us not forget all the meeting attendees, mi...nute takers, book club organisers and financial record keepers - you have all done a fantastic job this year! 02.01.2022 Today the Spots and Frogs preschool groups walked over to the Primary School site to purchase a treat from the canteen. This is the first of many kindergarten transition experiences planned for our preschoolers as we move into Term 4. The children also had a chance to play on the junior equipment which was quite a highlight! The Turtles and Stripes will have their canteen visit on Thursday. Thank you to our lovely canteen manager Chantell for helping us provide this experience today.
